the sexualization of our culture. Everything is about sex, you can't watch tv, get on the internet, or even go to the grocery store without being filled with sexual images. Im sick of it, Sex is supposed to be pure, innocent, and established through a long lasting relationship. Now don't get me wrong Im not opposed to sex, im just opposed to what its become. Its built on lust now, and has become cheap, dirty, and something purely physical. This is not how it is supposed to be.

Im talking about the magazines on the racks by the checkout lines, they are filled with sexual innuendos that even little kids are filled with, whether they ask for it or not. These images portray women in a way that little girls try to emulate because they think thats what makes them beutifull. think about it do you want your little sisters, or daughters to be portrayed as sexy in a lustfull way, or beutifull encompassing their physical attributes with purity, and also classifying the true beauty that is within them.

Sex sells honey, that's why it's everywhere. As wrong as it is, it's what society has become. I disagree about sex being built on lust. I've been married for almost 18 years and we make love way more often than just having sex. I also think there still are alot of people with love in the equation, it's just that like you and I, we've been raised not to talk about it. For some, it's rather private.

I see that too. But, I don't see that in a social nudity setting. It's true, because of sex, people do not accept social nudity or any nudity for that matter. I have discovered that there is little talk or expressions of sex when at a social nude gathering. Investigate it and see that it just may be the answer to all the 'bad' sex out there.

I concur. Today's culture, and entertainment are so sexually-oriented and seldom do you NOT encounter sexually themed stuffs. Be it while surfing the net or enjoying your favourite TV program and suddenly there's this provocative and suggestive gesture.
I believe sex is something pure and its a gift not to be abused like what is happening in pornography.
Well, it seems that the world today isn't like what it used to be. Seems to me that sex appeals to many and a way where the earning comes easy. Alas!

I agree. Sex is being shoved down our throats constantly. Celebrities and the media have turned sex into a trashy dirty thing. Women have no mystery anymore. They pose on magazine covers half naked and sometimes I swear I'm looking through a Hustler magazine instead of Cosmo.

You are right sex will make you hurt other peoples hearts like they are nobody.Like when a husband and wife cheat on each other or boyfriend and girlfriend cheat on each other, they use sex as to be some game.Sex is great and everyone should feel good about and have it, but in the right way,no need to hurt others.

Pure, innocent...why??? I like all that pure love stuff as much as anyone, but I also love just getting down and to it...Love starts as lust, you can't love someone straight away...purely physical is good, I've had those relationship where it is purely physical and am still friends with the guy...I personally don't see anything wrong with it...but each to their own

I'm sick of feeling like when I go out somewhere and a guy tries to talk to me, his end goal is just to have sex with me. That's the way I feel about men - not sure if that's just the society we live in, if that's the way they really are, or if the media has made me feel this way.

Absolutly. I agree. The more society grows into that direction, the more and more people that are misled into thinking thats the most important thing to do. Its kind of interesting that the divorce rate among couples, sex abuse cases, has increased about the same incrementally... dont you think.

As to why it is that way...you answered your own question. Because it sells. Sex, lust, desire, the need to be desired, etc...is a very powerful force in people. Advertisers use that to sell their products, because they know that their product wouldn't sell just for it's own merits. No one would touch a coke if they knew they effects those chemicals are really having on their bodies.

I am sick of it too. I mean its not like you will die if you don't have sex just, look at me, a virgin who wants to stay a virgin until I am married. The worst part of it is how young some people are when they start. I know of some 5th graders who are not virgins (no they were not raped by some pedophile) and it disgusts me.
