You can use humour and forget about your troubles. You can socicialize with funny people, take a distance from those who soak up your energies, You can practice remaining in your present moment and enjoy every minute of it. You can certainly enjoy yourself being with positive people and you will soon learn that life is to be enjoyed and happiness depends upon your own attitudes. If you are not happy taking things seriously, then turn your attitude around. Easier than said than done you may say, but try it and you'll see it's quite easy.

Have a good laugh every day.
And learn to laugh about your own errors in order to be able to correct them and be happy just the way you are. Let your hair down and breath in positive energies.

Good luck in your new journey !

that's a hard thing to just learn... maybe realize that most people aren't trying to offend you, and a lot of people joke around a lot. That way, when you think they are being serious, or offensive, you can look at it twice and try to see if you're being overly sensitive/serious... or if they really are being like that.

It truely depends on "what" you are taking seriously. But for starters, just "pretend" you dont care and eventually you wont.
