Greed and love of self is the root of all things evil. That means using or abusing others to benefit oneself.

There HAVE been "RELIGIONS" that did that as a body. I agree. But they warped what the bible taught them. The old testament is a history of what the world was like. Harsh, cruel, deadly. God wanted to change that because he knew the world needed it.

There were many predictions in the bible that came true hundreds of years later. SOMEBODY told the writers what was coming down. And it was someone who knew.....................

There are a lot of them, but maybe they are all related. Where do they come from? Are they from US? UK? ....?

No, they don't know that religion is the root of all evil. I am not sure it is true. I think you are exaggerating. Religion has caused a great deal of suffering, but there has been evil that is not caused by religion.

Of course, the Bible is self-contradictory, but I don't think you see that if you believe in it. I don't know how it happens, I suppose it is a kind of blindness that afflicts them.

I can kind of understand that someone might believe in a god, but how they can believe the bible, or in a church , that is beyond my understanding. I can just see it is so.

Yes;; I too have noticed that there are a lot of religion questions.
It does seem odd. It is as if the bible bashers are feeling unsure and are looking for reassurance,,

*sigh* unfortunately, there are people on both sides that think they're right. There's something about human nature that just can't stand people that think differentlyto them.

And LMAO at the american answerers that don't know what a bible basher is. Its the same as bible thumper. Before you slate a person who you think is dumb or mixed up, check your facts :P

Not every person denies or rejects the Bible; except the case you mean you are every person!
Things evil exist in my heart, in your heart, and perhaps in other people' hearts; the Bible and the Holy Books of other religions show us how we can overcome our evil thoughts and deeds. Please reread a Holy Book with a new and humble mind.

I'm confused... are you bashing the Bible too... or bashing the Bible bashers... because the way your question is worded makes it sound like you don't even know.

I think whoever wrote the bible created it out of fear. They were afraid the world would be thrown into complete chaos and anarchy so they created something higher than humans.

*LOL*

Are you even pretending to speak for every single person who has ever read the bible?

Show some love and respect for others.
