ditto. you dont pay taxes, you dont know the language, or you do & you dont speak it properly/coherently, you dont even know the basic history (what happened on July 4th, 1776 ?) I feel disrespected as an American when this happens. If youre not going to be here legally, you dont recieve protection from our laws. point blank. Please, just get your citizenship, and learn English! those that dont know!

When you are in a long line at an amusement park there are some people who cut in front of you. These people don't play by the rules, so why would you want this sort of person to stay in our country?
There is the right way and the wrong way to come to the United States of America. The right way doesn't include cutting in front of others who are patiently waiting to enter this country legally.
Legal isn’t just right, it is fair too. Illegal isn't just wrong, it's cheating too.
Also, we can't let the entire world come to the United States of America all at once. People need to wait their turn to enter. There just isn't enough space, resources or money for the U.S. to do that.
There are bad situations such as poverty, disease, wars and injustices all over the world, but just like the United States can't be the police officer for the entire planet, it can't be the nanny either. We can only do so much. We already help the world tremendously just as we did when we assisted Southeast Asia after it was hit by the major tsunami not too long ago.
The United States of America does let people immigrate to this country. They are called legal immigrants. People who enter the U.S. without proper authorization or over stay their visits are cheating all the other people of the world who are patiently waiting.
Illegal immigrants shouldn't demand rights. They should apologize to all the other people of the world, including the U.S., who they have cheated.

I totally agree. That bugs me that illegals can come to this country hold a rally, Demanding rights!!! Go figure.
If illegals want to come here legally then yes they have every right to make demands.
No different if a bunch of Americans went to Canada and started making demands. Not our country.
The worst part is I think eventually America will give in to their demands. So better learn Spanish.
Mexicans don't have to learn English because we are learning Spanish. I have no really bad feelings but if you come to a different country then yes learn the language. Or should a bunch of Americans move to china and demand all the Chinese learn English? Not going to happen.

I'm with you. That takes a hell of a nerve! Don't come into my home and demanding anything. The Constitution is for the protection of U.S. citizens, not the people of the world. But some how, it's turning out to be that way. If you have ever been arrested in Mexico or knew someone that has, you say "my rights", and they'll look at you like you were ten kinds of crazy, and that's before they beat your American tail for a minute. Don't demand nothing here, the place they need to do some demanding is their own homeland!
And yes. I'm no stranger to immigration either. My mother is also an immigrant, naturalized U.S. Citizen.... she came on a plane! Not a raft, nor hiding in the gas tank, not in an underground tunnel, not sewn in a car seat, not in a car trunk. THROUGH THE AIRPORT!!!!

I agree with tecsklls9. IF you don't want to take the initiative to learn english, get legalized and learn the history of this country, you shouldn't be here. Although I am born American citizen, I personally think that it is a slap in the face to the immigrants that took the time to do the right thing when someone comes here and is granted amnesty.
They do have one right- to go back to their country if they are not legal!

For albertos` answer ........Human Rights you say ? Check out mexicos` human rights policy , if you want to be upset about someones human rights being violated, go to mexico city and have your tantrum and see how long you last in a mexican jail !!!!!!! I think you should volunteer to have at least 2 or 3 ILLEGALS live with you and you support them , pay for yourself to take a spanish language course, as you will not be able to speak englishin your own home , pay for their insurance , pay for their schooling , pay for their food , pay for their doctor bills , pay for their rent , pay their phone bill , pay their cable , pay their electric bill , pay for their western union money grams so they can send money " back to mexico ", Oh yea , you must give them the money to send back to mexico!! Get you a real good dose of your support for ILLEGALS . Also don`t forget , when they sneak across the border, if nothing else , they are trespassing on an American citizens property , which is against the law for me or you to do , so where do you get off supporting ILLEGALS that are law breakers ???

Becca: Was your mom legal or ILLEGAL. There is a big difference between the two.
Yeah, I agree. Makes me so mad that illegals come here and act like they earned something. BS! How about that drug smuggler that was granted immunity for testifying against those two border patrol agents. It is just wrong. I am so angry at the US attorney for even hearing such a case. Amazing. We had better do something NOW before it gets even crazier.

Since they haven't went through the process of becoming citizens; they have an exaggerated view of what being in a free country means, I have heard them say" its a free country!" They don't understand their rights end at the tip of my nose, they are illegal. and view all American laws the same "Nobody do nothing" It is a difficult issue, we don't want to persecute them but they make problems, then holler racism Can't help sympathize, but no real answers.

How amusing! I never thought about it but it happen to me, at Six Flags Over Texas, Arlington, TX , this summer!
Rights are for US citizens, not illegals!
Not Mexicans who cut in line at the amusement parks.
It's the same people doing both. They wouldn't know the difference.

I agree. Imagine if we went to another country and started demanding things. We would be booted out so fast our heads would spin.
