i am 13 and have been getting my period for 3 months. this would have been my 4th month, but my period never came. I am not having sex, so there is no reason for it to be missing. Is there something wrong?

Tiffany S., Hey!
I wounldn`t worry about it...your not sexually active so you can rule that out..&& when i was your age i skipped afew times to then the next month went right back on regular routine...Sometimes if your really active && play lots of sports then that could happen or if you don`t eat right..so don`t stress it but if it continues to happen like say you skip month after month && don`t go back to having your period then you talk to a doctor....

I know I'm a guy but if you talk to a lot of older women they will tell you not all women are regular with their period. Especially when you first start its perfectly fine. I have a friend who is not in her late 20's who still doesn't have a regular period. If you don't like that idea sometimes taking birth controll pill can help stabilize it and make it easier during that time of the month.

No, it is normal for girls just starting to get their period to miss a few months, or even a year. Your hormones are fluctuating once they calm down some your period should became more regular. Just be patient it will come back. In the mean time since you don't know when it will come back carry some pads and/or tampons to school with you.

Don't worry about it. Your body is still going through changes and it will take a while for the hormones to get sorted out. If you have become more physically active, that could also explain your missing period.

Don't worry about it. That happened to me a few times. Just wait-- if it doesn't come next month, then try seeing a doctor. But for now, just remember that you're young and your period isn't regular yet.

don't panic there are alot of reasons why periods aren't on time and if there is no sexual activity(good girl) then, could be a diet have you changed one recently, stress could be a factor , then again before the days out you could have it. see what happens over the next week and if your still really concerned about it see an adult for help or visit school nurse -good luck

Absolutely not. Since you just started getting your period you won't be regular quite yet which means you won't neceesarily get it every month right away. So dont worry there is nothing wrong with you.

dont worry about it, stress alone can cause your period to fluxuate from time to time.

Youre young and your body is still developing its own schedule.

If you do not have a period for 2 months- go to dr. just to make sure its ok.

You should talk to your mom about this, if you can. Periods can be irregular when you first start, so there is probly nothing wrong. Good for you not having sex!
