the eat less and move more diet! seriously, i've cut out junk food and a lot of processed food - so basically junk. I eat four times a day-all food groups - no white bread, just whole grains and oats. My 3rd meal is usually more of a snack of fresh fruit everyday at 4 PM.

Of all the diets I've tried, the Atkins Diet did it for me the best. Starts out with mostly proteins meat, fish, chicken & turkey, cheese & eggs. Then adds good carbs like fruits and some veggies.

Also, the best thing I ever did for myself was just plain start consistently walking every single day. At least a mile and sometimes 2 or 3 depending on the time I have available.

Good luck to you. You can definitely lose weight, just put your mind to it.'

I simply expend more energy than I consume. I stay away from candy, soda, and donoughts. I swim 6 times a week. I drink water. Lots of it. It fills me up so I'm not hungry for sugary foods. I get enough sleep so I'm not motivated to eat sugar for energy. Cold water/ice is slightly more effective than warm water. It takes calories to heat the water in your body. Activity is the main thing, though. Just stay active. Don't drive around the parking lot looking for the closest space. Park further away and walk. Use the stairs in place of the elevator if you can. Streach as often as you can! Good flexiblitity limits injuries and keeps you happy! Don't eat when you're not hungry. Eat smaller portions than you're used to.

no diet really. But when I gained a few pounds I just exercised more and skipped dinner. Skipping dinner was easy because I went to bed and slept and forgot this way about eating.
Also I try to eat healthy, lots of veggies and fruit that is low calory food which fills well.

Atkins has worked best for me. It is scientifically sound and nutricionally correct. Basically you eat meat, chicken, fish, or pork and non-starchy vegetables. Leave out carbs. No sugar, potatoes, rice, pasta, or bread--easy to remember because they are all white things. You should read the book: Dr Atkins new diet revolution. There are three stages and you have to follow it very closely or it won't work. Without the intake of carbs your body will burn fat for energy. It even lowered my cholesterol 60 points, too. It works.
Don't forget to exercise/stay active too

I lost 40 pounds on a low-fat, low sugar, low calorie, exercise-like-hell diet. And gained it all back, plus some.

I lost 50 pounds on the Adkins diet. And gained most of it back.

What's working now is a sane diet of watching what I eat and exercise. I'm not too hard on myself when I get off track...I just get back on track as soon as possible. Now I'm lean, in shape, and can stay on this "diet" pretty much forever.

Weight Watchers. I lost 40lbs. What's great about it is, you learn to eat real food in the proper amounts, and you get lots of encouragement in meetings. You do weigh in at the meetings, but no one but your leader sees your weight.

I find moderation. Watch your calories, eat lower fat, lots of fiber and veggies. Pick a day to eat what you want.
