7th month. I lost weight the first 3 months. I did not start showing until 7 months. That was the most weight gain I had. This was my first pregnancy. My son is almost 5 months and I am still not back to my weight. 2 friends told me it can take up to 2 years to lose it if you do not exercise. The thing is that when you are on your "cravings" you eat contstantly. Unfortunately I craved many different things which kept me eating all the time. After you have your child your body is still hungry all the time. You have to "untame" your bodies feeding times.

I gained a total of 32 lbs during my pregnancy, with the bulk of it coming in the 7th & 8th months. But I was very active during my pregnancy (I played competitive volleyball until I was 8 1/2 months pregnant). I am still working on my pre-pregnancy weight, and my daughter just turned a year on the 10th of August.

Everyone is different. You want example: My sister, who was a size 3 when she got pregnant, gained 26 lbs during her pregnancy, and was into a size 4 six weeks after giving birth (and I hate her for it :)). She lost all of the weight in that short time. And my best friend gained 32 lbs during her first pregnancy, and lost it in a matter of 4 months after her son was born.

So just look at your physical self. Do you lose weight easily? Are you very active? Are you a big eater? There are a lot of things to look at. But the one thing no one can predict is how your body will change. My metabolism completely changed, and that is why I am struggling with my weight. Before I got pregnant, I could think about losing weight, and I would drop it. Now I have to learn to work at it.

Breast feeding will help you in losing weight, as well as get your uterus back into shape sooner. That is another consideration.

Good luck!!

This is my first pregnancy and I gained the most weight over the 5th and 6th month. For the whole pregnancy, thus far, I have gained about 40 lbs. and I am about 7 1/2 months pregnant.

I gained the most weight in the last month of my pregnancy, when the baby gained most of his weight.
My total weight gain was about 23 pounds and I was back to my normal size two weeks after delivery.

Breastfeeding really helps. Not only do you burn a lot of calories providing complete nutrition for your baby, but each time you nurse after giving birth your uterus to contracts, helping your tummy get back to its normal size more quickly. My mommy tummy was gone within two weeks.

8 and 9th month...baby gains up to .5-1.0 pounds a week.

Prepregnancy is really a funny thing.. some people as soon as they have the baby they are back to normal (usually because they puked off most of it in the begining)

Me, well... let's just say I learned how to adjust! :)

8th and 9th - I just blimped out. The first time it took a year. This time... well, I'm still working on it. I'm guessing it will also take a year at the rate I'm going!
