If this is an older dog, it's usually just due to less overall efficiency of the dog's body. Dogs that are dilute (blue) or chocolate may tend to be more prone to this in some families and breeds, since due to the nature of their pigmentation, they do not have the normal (wild type) natural eumelanin (black) pigment on their nose, eye rims and lips.
Many with working dogs resolve this easily enough. Get a little container of Bag Balm (google it - usually found in drug stores, some sewing supplies, and animal care or feed stores) and rub it onto the dog's nose daily. Normally this is all it needs. There are many hunting breeds with chocolate noses, so discoloration, loss of pigment and dry noses are rather common.
If this ointment doesn't help resolve the problem over time, then see your vet. If Lupus does run in the genetics of your dog's family, you may need to bring that up when you see your vet.

i think your soreness. I artwork as a Surgical Technologist. I genuinely have an similar situation. i like Aveda Hand alleviation. it truly is a touch on the extreme priced part, even if it would not take a lot, isn't heavily perfumed, not greasy and does not wash of thoroughly the first time your fingers get moist. I genuinely have a situation with palmar eczema interior the wintry climate months and it really is the purely element that has helped. in reality, for the previous 2 winters, I genuinely have had minimum destroy outs. in case your fingers are particularly dry and cracked, get you some petroleum jelly (Vaseline makes a 'cream' Vaseline petroleum jelly) and positioned it on at bedtime with a pair of gloves. in case you do not favor to sleep interior the gloves, positioned the Vaseline on with the gloves and by some ability warmth your fingers. (I call this the undesirable mans warm wax treatment) it particularly works great. solid success with those fingers.

He could just have a cold. Is his nose warm? A healthy dog of course has a cool, wet sniffer. Usually when our K-9 buddies are under the weather, their nose can become warm and dry, even cracking. If he's showing any other symptoms that you're concerned about, call your vet.

No! This just happens sometimes. Call your vet and ask what you can put on there to help moisten it up.
