More importantly, how do u make it NOT taste so sour? My mom uses Prego and I just found out she puts 5 tablespoons of sugar in it to get rid of the sourness... which I think is very bad (ahhh diabetes).

Classico Tomato & Basil - basil makes things taste sweeter, so you may like this one, too. but...having grown up with all that sugar added to a spaghetti sauce, you may be used to it! So, it may take a while for any un(super!)sweetened sauce to taste good to you. You might want to find out what ELSE dear ol' Mom has been super-charging with sugar - I knew someone whose Mom added sugar to almost all the vegetables they ate growing up - even carrots! ; (

I don't use any sauce. Prego tastes yucky.
Instead , I plate the pasta, spinkle it with loads of crumbled Bulgarian white cheese, and add paprika on top .Then I warm up some sunflower oil(2-3 spoons) and pour it over so it sizzles.
It's unbeliavable! Cheese melts and paprika gives sweetness to this wonderful dish. Goes well with strong coffee in the morning.
If you wanna be more conservative, use tomaro sause, adding some sugar to it. Enjoy!

Maybe, she's using expired sauce. Adds sugar to hide the sourness.

ok for real you dont get diabetics from what you eat unless you already have diabetics you wont get it from putting sugar in your sauce and use BROWN sugar 1 teaspoon or 2 for each cup of sauce

lol Prego is sweet to begin with I've noticed. I dont think you are going to get diabetes. Thats kind of ridiculous.

NEWMAN'S OWN is excellent. If there is Kroger store in your area Kroger extra thick is also excellent. Also these two are not sour.
