I always have a ride, to anywhere stores, work ect. When my brother passed away, I decided to keep his ranger truck, so it wont be put for sale. So now its something I never thought of, does actual driving a "hidden fear" I have? I dont know. Drivers' ED. is ebbarassing, so crash course hints, that doesnt involve me crashing??

Don't be embarrassed - driving is a nerve-wracking experience if you have never done it before. I would suggest going to a driving school and let them show you how to do it. I have been teaching driver's ed for 5 years, and I have had students from 15 to 85 - so there is nothing to be ashamed of. The good thing about letting the pros teach you is that we are calm, we know the tricks and laws, we can teach you how to drive safely in a way that does not embarras you, and you may get an insurance discount!

Have a friend whom you think is a good driver take you out in the truck to some out-of-the-way place where you can get the feel of operating the vehicle on your own. Nothing is better than getting used to the "feel" of the vehicle as it responds to your commands. Once you can operate the truck safely and properly, you can practice driving with your friend on public roads, then you will be ready to take your driving test. My father use to let me drive his Le Mans around in a vacant lot so that I could get used to how the car felt in my hands.

Dont woory as I was 31 yrs old before I learned to drive, I was fearful about driving and then my husband got me driving lessons and passed on the first try, I do not regret it for one second, I just wish I had started earlier,

Give it a go, you will not regret it.

Just go to Sears driving school. They'll help you out. I was 24 when I first started driving. Yeah, I was kinda scared at 1st but I eventually got over it and now I love to drive.
