You can set your hair using rollers and a good setting lotion like Lottabody. It takes a while for the lotion to dry unless you sit under the dryer, but the curls would look nice and natural. If you are in a hurry try some heat protection spray and a curling iron (you can get them anywhere from 3/8" to as big as 3") Also, One and Only makes a Curling Iron Glaze spray that works well and helps the curls stay all day.

do no longer use a small barrel curling iron (use medium or tremendous). I carry the curling iron parallel with my head. it quite is, instantly up next to my head after I curl. I twist some with the curl going backward in the iron, and at the same time as protecting it parallel, it provides it that spiral curl. some I curl ahead interior an same style. so that they are not all interior an same direction, it provides a organic seem. you should use your hands to style in case you want to, yet no comb or brush. I spray it gently and precise after spraying one side, I tilt my head and cup my hand on the bottom of my hair and gently push as a lot as furnish the curls a advance and quantity.

if you have a very thin plated flatiron, you can use this. (its a technique i just learned at the salon i work at. haha) clip all hair up and start with the bottom section. take a strand (about an inch thick) and flatiron it once over regularly to reduce friz. flatiron it again, but when you clamp onto the hair, flip the iron upside down, as if you were curling a string of ribbon with a pair of scissors. the slower you go, the tighter the curl. im sure you could find a 'how-to' online somewhere. try searching 'curling hair with flatiron' on google. or yahoo. lol

big flowing curls are obtained by a good wash, then when the hair is wet apply some product and put in your big velcroe rollers then you can either start drying it with a dryer or just keep the curlers in until the hair drys naturally, when you remove them i find its always good to run a thin straightening iron from the roots up to about a third of the hair length so it looks flowing and pretty and not shirley temply style, then spray on the hair spray and youre all set

hot rollers work and last longer than a curling iron or buy some rollers put your gel and stuff in your hair after washing it and then roller set it and get under a hooded dryer (about 30 dollars at Sally's beauty supply ) it should be dry in about 30 min to an hour or let it air dry put on some strong hair spray it should last about a week ....good luck!!

Well depending if you want it permanent or not. If temporary then use a bug curling iron or larger hot rods. If permanent then ask the stylist that you want big curls when she perms your hair. They have different color rods for those type of requests.
