It's nice when they can tell the truth but I don't think women expect men to tell the truth all the time. Let's face it women don't tell the truth to men ALL the time . Women just want the truth most of the time because that's what is right and because we know that men expect us to tell them the truth. We just want the same consideration they expect from us.

Not really, as long as the lie is unacceptable. There are sometimes where guys got to tell the truth, and some times when they should tell a little lie to get through a relationship.

I'd rather know the truth as long as he knows how to put certain things in a context that isn't hurtful or insensitive i.e. don't say yes your azz is fat in those jeans, instead maybe those jeans don't flatter your curves. It's called a little decorum. But yes the truth is best, it's better to find out someones true feelings or opinions from them rather than second-hand.

WELL, I WANT HIM TO BE HONEST WITH ME, BUT I WOULD RATHER HIM COME OUT AND TELL ME SOMETHING, INSTEAD OF ME HAVING TO ASK. I DON'T THINK WE AS WOMEN ARE ALWAYS READY FOR THE "TRUTHFUL ANSWERS." A LOT OF TIMES THE REAL TRUTH CAN HURT. I ALSO THINK THAT SOME MEN CAN BE "OVERLY" HONEST IF THERE IS SUCH A THING. I MEAN TELLING YOU "E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G" CONCERNING THEM AND OTHER CHICS CAN DEFINITELY GET TO BE DISRESPECTFUL. SOME GUYS KNOW THAT THEIR GIRLFRIEND IS A LITTLE ON THE JEALOUS SIDE AND HE'LL PURPOSELY TELL HER "EVERYTHING" JUST TO PUSH HER BUTTONS. SO I GUESS IT DEPENDS ON THE TYPE OF FEMALE YOU ARE. MY PREFERENCE IS TO DEFINITELY KNOW THE WHOLE TRUTH AND THEN I CAN MAKE MY OWN DECISION AS TO WHETHER OR NOT I WANT THIS PERSON TO CONTINUE TO BE A PART OF MY LIFE.

Tough question. On one hand, the relationship should be based on honesty. On the other hand, sometimes the truth hurts. If I ask "Do I look fat in this?" I would like to hear "No" - unless I'm in the store trying it on. Then I want the truth.

Overall the important things, yes.... He just doesn't have to tell me everything.....I tell him the truth, just not everything!!!! get it?! Truth is very important to me with everyone... If you don't tell me the truth, I can't and won't help you in time of need, and those time's do come.....

When I think about it, I know he is 85% truthful with me and to me that might be too much. I'll just stick to what I'm given now because complete honesty could be crushing. Like Jack Nicholson said, "YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!" and I agree with him.

If I ask a question, I expect the truth, all the time.

Oh jeez no! I'd go crazy and be upset all the time. My husband tells me the truth half the time and I get pissed at him. I'd rather he not say anything at all...lol I'd love to have my sweet very quiet bf back instead of the very talkative and outspoken hubby hehe.
