Homosexuals have the same rate of mental illness as any other aspect of the population which is a minority group. As a minority group, homosexuals suffer increased instances of mood disorders such as anxiety and depression, but this is the same for women, african americans, etc.

No not all homosexuals have had a hard childhood. My uncle is gay and he is a high school and a college graduate he is also a DNA scientist he is very successful and i know for a fact that he didnt have a hard childhood. I believe that gay people are born that way and there is nothing wrong or different about them except for they are attracted to the same sex. They are human people like us nonetheless. Don't treat them differently.

Well, many do. I'm gay, and have issues of depression and substance abuse. But I really don't think being gay has anything to do with that, at least not directly.
I know a LOT of gay guys who have emotional issues, for all kinds of different reasons.
Love, Jack.

homosexuality is not mental so much it is part of their actual physical make up and I wouldn't call it a problem either. if your looking for the cause of homosexuality, good-luck. their are more scientific journals written on it then global warming. the problem is, sorting between what is science and what is the make-believe that some scientist have added into their work. however and unfortunately yes, many gay people to suffer mental hardship, not that makes them gay, but because they are gay. growing up in to days world puts alot of pressure ad stress on people who aren't straight that can lead them to difficulties. but once again these difficulties are caused by the reaction of people around them to what they are and are not the cause of what they are.

No, they're just like everyone else. They are the normal ones. The people like you are the ones that have the mental problems.

I don't think so. I think you are born gay. I don't think it had anything to do with how you are raised or what problems you might have had as a child.
