AWWW! my daughter had to be on Zantac for the reflux. it would come out like that sometimes. it would be best if you do not lay him down completely. other-wards he should lie at a slant. she slept the best in her car seat. it sounds cruel but, if it works for him ---good.
and if it gives you peace of mind and rest.
it is just important that you not lie him down flat,he probably has it bad. also, somedays they are worse than others. but he will grow out of it.
so sorry to hear this. good luck!

You wrote that your son's milk is coming out of his nose when he drinks his bottle? You should check the nipple, maybe it has a big hole and when the Baby takes a gulp of milk, a lot of the milk goes to the inside of his nose, or if you are not sure what is wrong please find another Doctor so they can check the Baby real well and find out what is wrong with him/her. Remember that you have an angel in your hands and it is up to you to take care of him/her, since they are helpless and counting on you to help him/her to get better. I care, I hope that it's just something that is not serious.

Is the milk soured like it's been partially digested or like it's just out of the breast/bottle?
If it's "fresh" then ask the doctor to check the palate and make sure it is completely closed. My friends's baby went through that. There was a tiny hole in the roof of it's mouth.

Try holding the baby in a more upright position. If that doesn't work, have your doctor check for a bifed uvula. It could be the palate is not closing the airway between the nose and mouth when he swallows.

Awww. That's a sin. Maybe the formula needs to be changed.
Lizard: An MRI on a 3 week old is never warranted, unless it is a life or death situation.

Try to keep the baby in an upright position. Make sure that he burps. If it keeps on happening you may want to get an MRI he could have a sinus problem.

You're not holding him right. You have him angled to flat when you feed him. You need to hold his head up a little higher when you feed him. Same thing happen to me when i was a baby. Try not to lay him down too horizontal, have him more in a sitting up angle.

I wouldn't worry about it. My son did that when he was a baby, he is now 29 years old 6'2" and very healthy and still a good eater.
