Islamic Denial?

I find it funny when a Muslim is confronted with the truth they retaliate with half-truths.

Why is it when someone from the west brings up Muslim atrocities -- honor killings, enslavement in the Sudan, affirmation to beat wives (ever so lightly), Muhammads marriage to a child, etc... they bring up actions of others. Actions by people of certain faiths which are being addressed by other people of those faiths.

I have found that only in Islam there is denial that atrocities happen. IN the Christian faith, the Jewish faith etc., People within those faiths accept responsibility and don't deny that these things happen, they take action and speak out against them.

When will those of Islam open the door of silence and admit that some of your brothers and sisters are just plain bad people in the name of Islam. When will *some* Muslims stop blaming their horredous reactions to situations on everyone else?

When Muslims admit that Muhammad was a warrior and lived his life as such?

Inherently there are those Muslims who still have no understanding of the concept of free speech.
Christians take pot shots daily from non-Christians of different faiths or no faith.
What I see and did see when I lived in a Muslim country are women who had to live under strict rules.

As many of us know you do not have to cover from head to toe to be modest. The attitude that if a woman isn't covered in a sack cloth she's asking for trouble is absurd. The idea of blaming women for a man's lack of restraint is equally absurd.

Why are women hanged or stoned for adultry when they've been raped? They were covered in a sack cloth yet they are to blame for the crimes perpetrated by a man, why?

The term is al-taqiyah ( التقية). Al-Taqiya, from the verb Ittaqu, means linguistically dodge the threat. It is usually translated as dissimulation. It is based on Qur'an 3:28 and 16:106 as well as hadith, tafsir literature, and juridical commentaries. Similar to this is "kitman" which comes from the verb katama, which means to hide, to conceal.

It (taqiyah) is done to prevent new converts from seeing the real face of Islam; at least until their faith or mental conditioning is strong enough to make them turn against their own country and people.

Is taqiyah praciced only by Shia Muslims or is it practiced by Sunni Muslims as well?
Famous Sunni scholar, `Allamah Wahidu 'z‑zaman Khan of Haydarabad (India) says: "Taqiyah is proved from the Qur’an, "except when you have to guard against them"; and ignorant people think that taqiyah is some­thing peculiar to the Shi'as, while it is allowed in the Sunni faith also at times."

Sunni Muslims agree that taqiyahis permissible in jihad against the disbelievers (non-Muslims) who persecute Muslims. Politically it means simulate whatever status you need in order to win the war against the enemy. Taqiyah is not permissible toward another Muslim.

I'm always dumbfounded with the circular arguments that are baseless in Islam and grossly ignorant in nature and historical context such are yours. None of the negative actions you've mentioned here are endorsed by Islam or the vast majority of mainstream Muslims. Your blatant disregard for traditional Arab culture and accepted norms at the time of the Holy Prophet shows that with your closed-mindedness and hard-heartedness towards Islam, you are not only not ready to hear the truth about the faith, but you would reject it if it were presented to you. Your type of racist comments and uneducated view on a religion that sits in the hearts of close to 2 billion human beings, shows that you are part of the problem of racism, not the solution.

I wonder if you just got out of church and were riled up by your minister/priest to go out and spread hatred against the Muslims and Islam -- That's the Christian way!

You are both grammatically and logically incorrect when you say that when a Muslim is confronted with truth
"they," obviously you are referring to one specific Muslim who denied what you call "truths." You might never have come across a Muslim who can defend his or her faith based on its merits alone, that doesn't mean such a Muslim doesn't exist and in greater numbers too. For example the three Afghani women who escaped to Europe and decried the treatment of women and honor killings by the taliban were Muslim. Black Muslims in the Sudan and other countries decried the treatment by Arabs of blacks. As for the affirmation to beat wives, Muhammad himself discouraged it as was written in a hadith. Some have also interpreted a verse on wives beating their unfaithful husbands. As for Muhammad's marriage to a child, she was a child according to our standards, but in those days classified as a young adult. Muhammad also forbade child marriages as he revealed a verse where girls were considered adult post-puberty. Before you blame Muslims you might want to check your own allegations. You label Muhammad a warrior. Surely a warrior wouldn't reveal Quranic verses such as "being kind to your parents, orphans, the neighbor, wayfarer, and the next of kin"? As for your defense of the Christian and Jewish faiths, what of people like David Quresh and Adolf Hitler who killed non-Christians and other people in the name of Christianity? What of the Christian missionaries who sought to civilize the world of "savages"? What of certain Jews like Egrof Magen and Gush Emunim who massacred non-Jewish Palestinians in refugee camps in the name of Judaism?
When will you speak out against terror across and prejudice of all peoples, all races, all nations, instead of making an illogical and unfounded generalization criminalizing all Muslims.
When will you admit your own denial of the truth?

First your ignorance on Islam and on any way of thought is despicable. It is people like you that potray hate toward others without any understanding or want of understanding. You wish to believe what you want and wish to incite others.
The situation with Islam and the way we respond is just. Why are muslims being singled out for violence? why is killing and terrorism associcated with our religion? It never has been but westernes like u cant seem to see that. David koraish (waco texas) was he a christian terrorist? or how about those that bombed Oklahoma city would u call them christian terrorists? or those that bombed the King david hotel are they jewish terrorists? No. because you can distinguish between their religion and their actions, (btw all their actions also were RELIGIOUSLY motivated that arguement can be used). If you dont get it by now muslims respond this way to say that BAD SEEDS ARE NOT UNIQUE TO ISLAM. Its in all cultures in all people, it is not because of a religion it is because people are dumb and stupid. I still dont get it how u can single US out for these things when christians and etc have commited bigger atrocities that muslims will ever have. But again i can make that distinction that chrisitanity does not dictate them to do those things. JUST AS MY religion does NOT dictate to incur violence. We dont have or make up excuses, but dont judge us like your all high and mighty. Why is Islam subject to special scrutiny? I do have to say one thing though, I personally have never come across a Christian or Jew who is willing to and have taken the blame of any bad thing that has been done by other Christians or Jews.

If you are a Christian, where are the missing books from the Bible? The Quaran is a complete Scripture. Muslims actually have a Higher Spiritual Standard than you do.

It's not our problem that you believe nothing of Islam, Allah ordered us to help the people in the darkness and show them them the light, Islam.

first of all im MUSLIM, and i FOLLOW islam. there are some ARABS out there who thin they are muslim but they dont follow certain teachings of allah [god] so they dont deseverve to be called muslim. islam is PEACE. and stop holding your head up high thinking you know everything. allah is the only one that knows every secret and everything that happens on this beautiful earth. he knows your every desire, every wish, every dream. every time you blink and much more. If you read Ezekiel 38 and 39 you will see that Islam nations are actually being led by Jehovah God and they don't even know it. They are being called to rise up and march toward Israel soon. Little do they know that God will wipe them out once and for all by His own hand. His purpose, according to scripture, is to show the world (all nations)that He is the Lord God Almighty. It will all happen soon. Jews will have their eyes opened as to who Jesus is, the true Messiah. It's all coming to pass soon.
