Depends on the age of your pastor. My pastor does that, and he's middle-aged. He winks at everyone, though. I think it's just faster for them than to actually stop and talk to everyone. It's like saying, "Hey, how's it goin, can't talk right now, but I haven't forgotten you're here." :) Pastors are busy people... let 'em wink!

Ive seen a lot of pastors wink at everyone, its just a sign of hello, but just a very sincere form of acknowledging someone.

Cause the men he's winking at are too old to grope?

Sorry, Just kidding. It's prolly just to say hi. Some people call everyone hon.

It's easy to jump to conclusions but what I would do is pay attention to see if he winks at all the other people in your congregation--- women/children.
It might just be an odd habit of his of saying "hello" instead of or while waving or shaking hands.Let's hope so.

do I detect homophbia or jealousy? hmmm..... try a novel approach and ask your pastor rather making up elaborate stories to gossip about pothers whatever your religious denomination is I am quite sure that this type of behavior, speculating about others, which is dehumanizing is contrary to how you should be conducting yourself and this type of behavior from those who attend church on a small or large scale ,is precisely the very behavior that reinforces negative attitudes and encourages others to become non believers or believe in god but not religion which is full of hypocrisy in the eyes of others
