in this day and age?
things are just getting stupider and stupider.
i dont think anyone should even have a cellphone.
5,000 years of human civilization doing ok without a cellphone, and suddenly nowadays we can't survive without it.
the world should end, and i hate myself

Guess what, i have news for you. SHe's the MOM!
edited to add: I didn't finish before because I was called away from the computer. The parents decide what the children do or do not need. It is not your job to tell her that her decisions are right or wrong. How old are you? Do you think you are old enough for a cell phone? As far as my opinion about the cell phone goes - my 12 year old daughter is too young for a cell phone. Yes, 7 is definitely too young. I don't think any child should have one until they are old enough to work and pay the bill.

I think he should have it if everyone else in the house has one and there is an old one laying around. Your mom is the adult who makes decisions in the house. She will also have to deal with any consequences that arise.
In some situations, phones can save lives. We didn't have phones way back whenever but we also didn't have so many other things that make up our daily life. The world has changed, and a 7-year-old with a prepaid phone isn't the end of it.

Why do you even care. She is the mom. It's her decision whether he has a cell phone or not. Its not your place to tell her what to do or what not to do, and you definitely shouldn't try to go against what your mother says and take his cell phone away. My 8 year old daughter doesn't have her own cell phone, but we do have an extra cell phone that I make her take with her to dance class and when she is playing with the neighbor. Just so that I can reach her at all times and so she can call if there is a problem.

that it's ridiculous that he can barely write and read and already has a cell phone! even if it's old it's kinda unsafe to have a 7 year old down the st with a cell phone, people have been murdered for less than that. he's way too young to be able to manage money. whos gonnna call him?

Your parents dont have time to give him love and the attention he needs so they buy him things. Just love him more and spend time with him. Remind your parents that just like Tv's are not babysitters, cell phones are not either. They will tell you its just for safety but you know the real truth based on what you have seen.

I have a 6 yr and I would never give him a cell . My daughter and son didn't get one until they were 16. A 7 yr doesn't need that responsibility.

he is WAY way too young, and i think you should put your mother in her place...tell her to act like a real mom, and if she takes yours away too, then so be it, but a 7 yr old has no place having a cell phone, just like they shouldn't be on the internet...

Lol, i am going to experience you in this one female. yet i have been by ability of many cellular telephones i am going to't even shop in concepts the call nor' what number I went by ability of..tell them you particularly take a probability on dropping your own telephone instead of the danger on dropping theirs.talk which includes your father and mom on getting you a Pre-paid telephone. it truly is a lot more beneficial more low priced! and also you received't choose a freelance like with Verizon, AT&T, etc. i might want to also commence to coach on a thanks to force, it truly is particularly no biggie. once you get use to it i'm particular you received't mid driving round (depending the position you stay! lol) yet like I stated a pre-paid telephone is the staggering element than having no telephone in any respect! get them at Wal-Mart, Circle ok, and also you could purely purchase the phone and the cardboard there...wish this facilitates
