It seems to me, it just go back for at least two months. Please help!

Honestly, I feel that the Restore Feature is another "Hype" of MS to sell the product, I spend more of my Technician Time Recovering PC's that System Restore Won't or Cannot... It usually depends on how much you have reserved for System Restore to Use, Right Click My Computer, Properties, Choose The System Restore Tab, and Slide according to what you think you will need, Personally, I do not use it... It's a waste of my time and effort, and a drive space hog also.. I use a third party software to keep my system protected in real time, and the other flaw alot of windows user's do not realise, that most viruses are also saved in the restore process, when the virus is introduced to the pc harddrive and the "Restore" process saves a snapshot of the system, it saves the virus too. Bad Program, Good Idea.. Good Luck

It only goes back to the previous restore point. Now if you want it to go to a specific restore point, you need to manually go into your start menu, into programs, then accessories, then system tools, then to system restore. There you can tell it to restore to a specific point, granted that you had a restore point at that time..
