Spaying is the only solution. Be sure she does not get out. I'm sure you aren't prepared for her to have kittens either.

For this minute some catnip might quiet her down a bit. But your kitty is fighting some pretty powerful urges. Don't put her outside, she will only find a Tom and get pregnant, then you will have a littler of kittens to find homes for. Your only real answer is to get her spayed. If money is tight most local ASPCA's offer free or reduced spay & nuter programs check in your phone book or on line.

My bottom line advice, go to the drug store, get some catnip and ear plugs. (the earplugs are for your family) In about 10 days you will be able to have her spayed, you have that long to find a vet to do the job. Good luck.

try putting her somewhere where you can't hear her... but DON'T put her or let her outside (unless if you dont' have a litter box) because then she might run off (like many cats do) and get pregnant. try to get her fixed as soon as possible. we recently adopted a cat which had showed up on someones doorstep, pregnant, but we know it had belonged to someone before because it was so friendly. she had 8 kittens (8!!!!! so cute and cuddley but you know how hard it was to find good homes and take care of 8?? we had to bottle feed them because she couldn't keep up with them and she got really skinny and was tired all the time)

glad that we gave her a home and found good homes for the kits. just be careful..

There isn't any way to actually get her to stop the meowing. You will just have to put her where you can't hear her. Don't put her outside-that will just have her get pregnant. Getting her fixed while she is in heat is more expensive so you might have to wait till after.

There is very little you can do at this point. It is better to spay before they come into heat to stay away from this kind of behavior. It will cost more to have her spayed while she is in heat because everything is engorged with blood and takes much longer to do the surgery. Good luck.

Sorry this is just something that has to play out. It should only last another couple of days. Unfortunately petting your cat makes it worse. Hang in there it won't last much longer, but you need to get her fixed before it happens again.

Just like most of us females get cramps during menstration, female cats wail. Its aggravating, yes, but natural. You can`t do anything about it. Please don`t shove the poor thing in a cage and put her "across the house". How would you like it if your boyfriend/husband abandoned you every month because you were in a bad mood?

Please get her fixed. The yeowing will stop and it will be better for all of you in the long run. The operation only takes a few hours including recovery time, two stitches for a kitten.

yeah, you're pretty much going to have to deal with it until you can have her spayed. DON'T put her outside because she'll end up pregnant and you'll be conributing to the overpopulation of unwanted kittens. Just deal with it and have her spayed ASAP!

Put your cat in a place to sleep where you can't here it. Such as outside or across the house.
