Are you really that thick?

12x + 8/2
= 12x + 4

If you want the 12x divided by 2 as well you need to use brackets:
(12x + 8)/2
=6x + 4

it is 12x+4 I know this is right because first you take 8/2 and that equals four. Then you cant do anything else because you dont know what x is. So you end up with 12x+4 as yoour answer. I know this is right because when I took pre algebra we did this.
