I'm assuming you mean to class. Bring paper and pen or pencil. The professor(s) will tell you what to bring the next time. Don't worry about the required book, as it might change.

If you're living in a dorm, BRING FLIP FLOPS. They call them "shower shoes" for a reason. You don't want athlete's foot just cuz you showered in a dirty stall.
As far as classes, always get a syllabus or course outline from the professor on the first day. Take note of each professor's attendance policy.
Make friends on the first day with someone who has a car, if you don't have one yourself.

Linens, computers, school suppies, TV, alarm clock, mini fridge and microwave, lamp, toiletries, and something to decorate the walls with...pictures, posters, etc. Dorm rooms are usually tiny so don't bring oversized items. Also, underbed bins are good to use for storage.

You need the list of your classes and the map showing you where all your classes are.
Your books, if you've already bought them. (And a backpack.)
Your notebook, preferably a multi-subject notebook for easy reference.
Pens, pencils.
Your mind.

Linens? Alarm clock? Who said that? Hee hee hee...
