I just heard on the news that it's against islamic law for women to sing. Ya, islam's great!

Cause they get to blow themselves up!
They get to avoid football season!
They get to not watch TV cause there might be cheerleaders!
they don't have to eat pork anymore!
They get to wear masks and cut people's heads off!
Cause they can't drink here but in heaven they get rivers of wine!
Cause they don't have to have sex here, but in heaven they get a bunch of virgins! (who picks the virgins i wonder?)
They don't have to learn how to land planes! (so shorter flight school time!)
They get to commit all the crimes they want against people that arent' in their religion.
Sounds like fun!

People turn to religion generally because stuff ain't so good in their life. So they start looking around for answers to why stuff ain't so good. Many religions make great promises but deliver very little. Islam does do a great job of teaching discipline and that helps people live better lives. I don't think it answers the most basic questions in life though. (What am I here for?) (Who is God and what does He want with me?)
I found real answers to all of the above in the Bible and found a mentor in Jesus that we can all look up to. When I compare Jesus to Muhammad I find on the one hand a gentle, loving soul willing to do anything for a relationship with me, including being nailed to a cross and dieing. On the other hand I see a man who forces his beliefs on others under threat of death and advocates genocide on his neighbors, the Jews.

It's not that people think it's a great religion....it's that they're forced, where they live, to convert to it, or face death.
Simply put, in the relgious states, like pakistan, afghanistan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, etc you're not allowed the choice....some are closet christians, simply by not doing the bowing x number times a day, and more, but if you tried to convert a neighbor, you might get a knock on the door, or more likely, dragged out of your bed in the middle of the night, beaten in a dirty jail, ordered to confess, before more beatings, dragged into the city square, and then gutted.
Charming religion.....from a phrophet, who died, and never went to heaven.....and is still buried under a city.

Islam. Well I was forced to live in islam.
I was abducted, sexually abused, raped, and forced to do a lot of things that most of you have never gone through.
My dignity was taken away and my self worth crashed to pieces.
My children had to watch the violence.
I write and write and write. And tell my story over and over again.
Yet muslims think they have the right to violate me and mine as and when they want.
Islam, a great religion? Why is the world so cruel in reacting?
These people have violated human rights to a stage of criminality. Why is there so much pain inflicted on others in the name of religion when the world watches?
United Nations. United States and powerful nations. What is it? Why are you so cruel about the accountability factor of religious cruelty to those who do not deserve it?
Why is Saudi Arabia not taking steps to take their people and their religion back from our lives? Why do they force us to take their criminal activities? But islam is cruel to a woman like me. Why would they listen to other women's voices? (Non islamic female voices)
Islam, a great religion? People amaze me everyday. The world is cruel and powerful nations and organizations are cruel expecting us to tolerate criminality to such an extent.

Get educated. Read the Koran and find out the truth of Islam. It is a short book and very interesting. You will find most of the stuff you hear or read is not true.

Thats totally untrue..
I live in one of the most islamic countries,,,and speaking form my islamic background-being someone who memorize Qur'an by heart in Arabic- there isnt something that women arent allwoed to sing at all. its just that they arent allowed to sing in front of men.
And please leave those news stuff aside coz its all politicised. go and research everything yourself or you will end up thinking the way that stupid white man does!
those channels bring the worst untrue news to help broaden the gap between us and put us in confrontation that is not something that we all like...

No, you're wrong. Muslim women are allowed to sing in front of other women and family members but not men they do not know.

I dont think islamic law and the qur'an are the same, but well, I'm not a real moslem. I have just read the qur'an and I liked it, just like I like the bible and the baghavad ghita...whatever.
