As a German-American I am totally appalled.
How could anyone think that AUSTRIAN (he was only a German citizen for the last 13 years of his life) psychopath was great. His list of autrocities are too numerous to list, starting with the NAZI occupation of Germany( Hitler didn't come to power democratically, and most Germans who lived through those 12 years considerate it an occupation) and ending with the Holocaust. Yes some of the things he did in the first few years of reign could be considered beneficial, but they came at an exorbitantly unconscionable cost. In the end Germany lay in ruin, he even turned on the people he supposedly admired. He took a kind, caring, and civilized people and brought them down to the level of barbarism. He was a true monster. He even tried to create his own religion, with himself as God. He hated Christians( even more then Jews), and only persecuted the Jews because he knew he couldn't exterminate the Christians until his religion was well established, and corrupted sacred symbols from my religion (Asatru) doing so. The final analysis is that he was a total waste of DNA.

Hitler was good to the German people. After World War 1, France just hated and ruined Germany. Germany's economy had been destroyed by the French. Hitler won the power of the people because he stopped alot of the crime by starting the protection group called the brown shirts. With the power of the people, he became the new leader of Germany.

Yes, Hitler did get a bad reputation. But he got the bad reputation for a very good reason. He did lots of bad things.

Yes he got a bad reputation -- just as he deserved. He was not a prophet of God for sure. He may be a painter or paper hanger in hell which would be only too good for someone like him.

Hitler said in his book Mein Kampf that he believed it was his divine mission from God to make war on the Jewish people to cleanse the planet.

Hitler was crazier than you. Before making these insane claims of Hitler's greatness go read a little about him.

P.S. Addition....I'm amazed! ***There must still be NAZI Jew haters out here...I got a thumbs down. WHoever you are, you must agree with the opening Hitler quote. Do you also feel a need to kill Jews in the name of God?

I think you people also forget Hitler killed thousands of his own people though war to conquer the world. He would not concede until his death and all of Germany was in ruin. Thousands of people were homeless. What kind of maniac would conduct a war on two fronts and deplete their resources to fight an unwinable war that would only destroy his own people in the end.

I do feel sorry for Hitler - guy w/ incredible low self-esteem from his overdoting mother and then failing in most of the things he tried. When germany was in the midsts of economic and social chaos, he does what every guy who has below average abilities and a really low self esteem with anger issues does: he projects his feelings of weakness and vulnerability outward and tries to fix his wounded self esteem by creating a tyrannical ego.

He was a very good person when it started out. He tried to promote Christianity, give Germany a place in the world and improve a lot of people's life....then he got the brilliant idea to start killing jews...got greedy with the territories he wanted.../focused too much on domination..and wanted vengeance for WW1. Luckily, not every1 is fanatacal about the Christian religion as he was so we had people there to put him away.
