New Zealand. Hands down. I've spent the last 4 years backpacking around the world, and I have to say the country has everything from white sand beaches to snow cap mountains. The people are the most friendly of anywhere. But, you need to spend at least 1 month there at least. If you don't have that much time hit the east coast of Thailand. You'll spend more money on your plane ticket getting there, but can make a tight budget go very far. And, on a large budget you will live like a king/queen.

Right now, I am researching going to New England for Thanksgiving. I use web sites to research rental vacation houses including vrbo.com and weneedavacation.com and I put a fare watcher for Providence and Boston in travelocity.com to look for inexpensive fares.

Maui! Great any time of the year. Or the Tuomoto Islands in northern Tahiti. Both are fabulous.

Let's see. I haven't been down to South America yet. Maybe a 16 day cruise around the cape would be nice.

I'd go to Montana in the winter so I can see what the mountains look like during that time of year.

Bosnia - Sarajevo, Mostar. Then probably go over to Croatia and be in Split for couple of days.
