I eat a lot of wraps and soup. It is quick and easy, and makes me feel like I am eating "more" than just a sandwich. I also cook those chicken breasts that you don't have to unthaw first. Then if I really feel like cooking something I can without having to make a big plan. I also make breakfast for dinner a lot. Eggs and toast is quick and easy to make.

no such thing as cheap AND healthy

buut.. instead of buying the extra lean beef, buy the chuck and just drain the meat properly.

chicken is the same price but is always healthy and makes plenty of dishes. Fry it, grill it, boil it and make quesadillas, chop it and stir fry it with vegies is always inexpensive.

buy potatoes to make french fries, or pan fry cubed potatoes with eggs for breakfast tacos.

Get lots of bread for sandwiches and lots of hamburger helper for the lazy days.

store brand oven pizzas are good too

Can you make rice...???

You know...2 cups of boiling water one cup of white rice - let it sit 10 minutes???

Throw that rice in a frying pan of olive oil...
press it flat - dump a half cup of parmesan cheese over it...
mix the gloppy mess with any other leftovers.

My Italian family calls it "Risotto"
people in Italy pay a lot of money to eat it...
tastes great - easy to do.

Good luck

Grill chicken breasts and they are good for several meals. You can make up breakfast tacos ahead of time. And soup never takes too long. A salad can be made ahead of time and good for days.
