You and the doctor have an agreement to do the best you both can for your health, it is a trust issue. If you are abusing the doctor/ patient relatinship, he can "fire" you from his practice. 1st, he must warn you & then he can write you a letter stating that he will no longer care for you as you do not follow his advice.

I hate to tell you but from looking at this sentence I think you need to give up the controlled medication, rehab would be a good thing.

your question is too vague... do you mean can he/she drop you from their care because of a controlled drug that you've been prescribed? (by them or another prescriber)? because he/she doesn't agree with rx? he/she prescribed rx under duress and no longer wants to retain you as pt?
i don't really understand what it is that you are asking.

yes, unfortunately doctors these days can do anything. Especially if they feel their patients are drug seeking. Controlled medications don't cure any ailments, just temporarly allow us to deal with it.
