Adam and Eve were created perfect, and gifted with free will. Being perfect because GOD created only good things. Humans are gifted with free will, are different from everything GOD created, (you'll have to ask GOD why. I don't know. I think it something about humans not being yes men, puppets, you know? Humans from A/E have picked their own way because of our free will.)
Then were tempted, first Eve, as everyone knows - then Adam, as he didn't stand for right - he just went along with Eve, without thinking about it. He sould have stood firm and not eaten, knowing where the fruit came from.
Then they were found out. (GOD is very sad during this, it sounds like.)
Then as a result of their disobedience - were forbidden Eden, they had to work for everything.
By misusing their free will - this is where it started.

Adam and Eve were created perfect. God designed them, as they were, Adam first, then Eve, so Adam wouldn't be alone.
And for quite a while they were happy, too.
But, like all good things, something went wrong....a certian serpent came along, tempted Eve, into trying the fruit, on the tree of knowledge....then offered some to Adam....sure, they then knew the difference between right and wrong....but also, knew they had disobeyed God's will. In doing so, they gained knowledge...but lost the chance to live forever.
AKA, the perfect fall.

Adam and Eve were created in the image and likeness of God. They were perfect, yet, as a prior person stated, they also had free will. They were allowed to enjoy the garden, but were given only one rule...do not eat of the fruit of that one specific tree. Eve was tempted and tricked by satan when he appeared as a serpent unto her, and then exercised her free will by eating of the tree.

Adam and Eve are myth. All myths have exactly the meaning they are meant to have. However, if there ever was an Adam and Eve, they would have been human. In my view, humans are imperfect and that's the way it's meant to be.

God did NOT created people to be perfect, with the exception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, who is to be the mother of God.God gave everyone free will, and Adam & Eve disobeyed, and ate the forbidden fruit.

Adam and Eve were created and like every one of us they were given "FREE WILL" by God.
Free will is given to everyone by God so that we can choose the correct path or not. If we choose the wrong path then we have to answer for that.

God created Adam and Eve to be perfect but sin entered the world in the shape of satan. Even though God made adam and eve perfect he couldn't make them robots to his will so he gave them their own free will. They chose to sin and therefore they disobeyed God's perfect plan for them...thus making all of mankind sinful....get it now?

Homo sapiens apparently did exist as well as other sub species of homo sapiens. The Genesis story pretty well parallels evolution theory. The time span does not, unless you consider that God’s “time” is not the same as we know it. His “days” should be considered as time periods (for lack of another description). Read that account AGAIN, word for word, in Genesis
Thus God created this planet and its species, including homo sapiens, over 5 time periods. All “creatures” were created “AFTER ITS KIND” and able to “multiply” (procreate).
Then in the sixth time period Adam was created “AFTER OUR IMAGE”! Not “AFTER ITS KIND”. Adam was created as a single new being. He was as “perfect” as all creation before him. But, he was given “God’s spirit” (a soul). Gen. 2:7-9, 16&17. HE was created to live indefinitely within his special environment, the Garden of Eden. That’s why he was informed that it would be fatal for him to eat from the “tree of knowledge of good and evil”. Gen. 2:17.
Eve was an afterthought so Adam would not be all by himself. Gen. 2:21,22
Meant to live indefinitely, Adam and Eve did NOT NEED to procreate! They had no sense or ambition of sexuality. Gen. 2:25. They were naked but not ashamed – innocent, without sin.
God gave them the power of choice, to obey his instructions or not.
After eating the forbidden fruit – also known as the “original sin” - they were sexually “activated” (Gen. 3:7-11 & 16) (they were ashamed! They covered them selves up!) and God had to change His plans for them. So Adam and Eve were expelled from the Garden of Eden in order to KEEP THEM AWAY from the “tree of live” which could have sustained their life (and that of now possible offsprings) indefinitely - Gen. 3:22-24.
They were now condemned to live their life in the outside world and procreate like the “creatures” (Neanderthals & Co.) created before them. (Gen. 3:16) They now also were destined to die like them.

No they were given free will. Not obedient, but perfect in every way except their possibility of choices. That's being human and it's A-OK. I like the story, until they got kicked out. The God that was portrayed however, seems arbitrary, bi-polar or schizo, or all three.
