I am looking for **** Yoshimoto Young. He is my father and all searches have come back empty. I know little about him. He was in the army, lived in Fort Nelson around 1970, was born in Japan around 1949, has a Japanese mother and Canadian father, his father was in Canadian army, he went to UBC briefly for business admin., and worked for Department Of Public Works on Alaska Highway around 1970. He has a little sister and perhaps more siblings, and his given name is Dicky or Dickie. I know nothing else and need the publics help with finding obscure sources and even doing their own search. If anyone knows of a database and how to access it, I would be most grateful.

You might be able to track him through his military ID number or social security number if you have either of these. Also, a private investigator can form a basic, but thorough search for around $100. You can look through public records through the Internet for free if he has purchased or sold property and had it recorded. This will be time consuming, though since you have to go by state, city or even county. Public record would list his death if by chance he had passed away, so that might be another avenue to search. And, you can find out if he ever had a worker's compensation claim filed in Alaska, so that might give you another lead. Good luck in your search.
