I usually eat a lot, but for the past 4-5 days, I haven't been eating. I lost 10 lbs. in 2 days, simply by laying down, being depressed & not eating. I usually eat more when depressed, but now, I find myself not eating at all.

First, I would suggest speaking to your doctor about the depression. Depression affects people differently, some eat, some don't. You can also go back and forth, eat and not eat. Sometimes, your body can tell you to stop eating too much if you put on a bit too much weight. In the interim, don't stop drinking water, in fact drink more so you don't dehydrate.

Having heard of your situation before, I'm guessing it is an exacerbation of depression; also probably anxiety about all that is going on in your life. If you are already thin, this could be a problem (the weight loss). If things do not get better soon, do something. Also, keep taking your antidepressant, but I think you need to have the dosage upped, please call your MD and/or psychologist and/or psychiatrist. Things should be looking up for you soon. You're like me when I don't eat for 2 days due to stress and being depressed. It is a horrible feeling but you have to take care of yourself otherwise it may get worse. Go out, take a walk, and get some fresh air. It'll help quite a bit in boosting your mood. Take care!!

Sure wish I could lose 10 pounds in 2 days.

I am 5'2 and weigh about 110-115 lbs, and would love to lose about 10 pds.
I have been having steriod shots in my back and it caused me to gain 10 lbs so now I need to lose it.

Go for some good walks (find appealing places). that will solve both problems.

yeh when your depressed you burn of alot of energy, because you are going through powerfull emotions, try and eat when you can please, and drink bare water, try things like nutritional drinks
