I've never understood why people prefer, sunny hot & humid conditions, when cloudy, cool, (non-sweat) days are so much nicer.

I agree 100% with you. Although some sunny days are nice.
I have read that cloudy,rainy days promote depression. Seattle , Washington is rated one of highest suicide cities in nation and they say is due to their weather. Even so , I would take a cloudy, rainy day anytime over a sunny day.
