If that's what you want I think that you should be honest and tell him that you like him but it's important that you wait. He might agree or maybe he'll disagree it depends on how old the two of you are.
On a side note, I don't think that anyone should wait. I've been married since 2000 and have three small kids... it's not easy. I think that you should have sex and live together for at least two years before thinking about getting married. Sex is a big part of marriage so you need to know if you like the same things up front. If you wait your first fights will be about sex, what he wants and what you don't. Living together is also very important because just dating isn't enough to show you how a person really is. You really don't know anything until you live together for a couple of years. After that if you still want to marry then go for it. Well, I really hope this helps you.

Tell him that your purity is important to you. If he is really a respectable guy worth keeping than he will respect this decision and won't be in the relationship for just the physical side but rather for you. It will be hard to tell him but if he is a good guy he will stick with you. I know what you are going through so much because i went through the same exact thing with my bf. If you wanna know more e-mail me at dani_gurl156@yahoo.com....i'd love to help you more! Good luck

You simply say that you are waiting for marriage. If you're boyfriend cops an attitude or breaks up with you over it than he's not the kind of guy for you. Don't let him persuade you into doing anything (sex, oral sex, fondling, or anything else) you don't want to do. Stay strong and be proud of yourself.

Exactly how you said it here, just explain your reasons to him and he'll either understand and be supportive or break up with you, because he's an ignorant a s s

I love you but I'm not ready to have sex until we are married if you love me like you say you do then you would understand that; This is very important to me.

There is no way to tell him that is guaranteed to keep him from being upset. Mis-communication and being indirect kills more relationships than being direct, gentle, forthright, and honesty has EVER killed.

Don't explain anything, just tell him that's the way it is. Don't let him force you into anything.
