Job's friends were telling him that God's righteousness and judgment would have to conform to, and be the same as, their own ideas of righteousness and justice. The book is meant to prompt us to ask, "Who are we, that we should presume to tell the One who made us what is right and just?" Job's friends can be compared to a glowworm trying to tell the US president how to run the nation.
Good luck with your speech.

Wow, so what do you know about Job? Have you read Job? That would be an excellent start. What aspect of Job are you speaking on? Try the following website if you don't have time to completely read the book of Job. It gives a summary of the book. Then you can pick which part(s) of Job you want to read and develop a talk based on those points.
The following is from a church website. It's the class member study guide on the lesson covering Job. It has some great questions.
32
“I Know That My Redeemer Liveth”
Job 1–2; Job 13; Job 19; Job 27; Job 42
34592, OT Class Member Study Guide, 32: “I Know That My Redeemer Liveth”, 22
Study the following scriptures:
a. Job 1–2. Job experiences severe trials. He remains faithful to the Lord despite losing his possessions, children, and health.
b. Job 13:13–16; Job 19:23–27. Job finds strength in trusting the Lord and in his testimony of the Savior.
c. Job 27:2–6. Job finds strength in his personal righteousness and integrity.
d. Job 42:10–17. After Job has faithfully endured his trials, the Lord blesses him.
• What kind of man was Job? What trials did Job experience?
• How did Job’s testimony of the Savior help him endure his trials? (See Job 19:25–27.) How can a testimony of the Savior give us strength during adversity?
• Job’s integrity was another source of spiritual strength during his afflictions (Job 27:2–6). What is integrity? How did personal integrity strengthen Job during his trials? How can personal integrity help us during times of trial?
• After Job had faithfully endured his trials, how did the Lord bless him? (See Job 42:10–15; James 5:11.) How does the Lord bless us as we faithfully endure trials? (See Job 23:10; 3 Nephi 15:9.)

Oh, by the way, not that it should matter much, but I'm Mormon. We have additional scriptures to the Bible, a couple of them are referenced in the study guide. You're welcome to use them, but I just wanted to explain why a couple of the scriptures listed contain books that are not in the Bible.

He was a righteous man (Job 1:1, 8); to see if he would remain that way, the Lord, at Satan's suggestion, tested him by taking from him all his possessions and family (Job 1:6-19); Job remains faithful (vv. 20-22); Satan then tries again, this time taking Job's health, but no success (2:1-10); his three friends visit him (vv. 11-13); Job's three friends condemn the wicked life they figure he must be leading, and he defends himself (chs. 3-32); a fourth friend, name of Elihu, adds his peace once Job has silenced the others (chs. 33-37); the Lord steps in and asks Job where he was when the Lord created the world, and tells him of His power, and Job repents (chs. 38-41); Job repents (42:1-6); the Lord chastises Job's three friends for not sticking up for him, and they repent also (42:7-9); finally, Job receives more than double what he had to begin with, and lives to a ripe old age (vv. 10-17).
This much I got from reading a scripture guide for the KJV of Job. I recommend you read the book yourself, especially the first few and last few chapters.
P.S. The views expressed herein are (mostly) my own, and do not necessarily reflect those of my church.

The beginning and end of the Book of Job in the Bible (not too far from Psalms in the middle of your Bible) tell a lot about who Job was. In the middle are all the awful things that happened to and were said to him. It's not hugely long. Find a modern translation and read it. Don't miss the part where God answers Job back. Can you imagine God speaking directly to you and saying (in effect) *ahem* Just who are you, little human, that you question Me and My motives like this? This happened to Job. He answered well, too, when he could speak. Go have a read. it's a great book.

Well, the gist of Job, was more related, to a talk between God and the Devil. The Lord made the comment, that Job, one of his followers, was perfect, and in him, nothing was wrong.
The Devil's view, was, well, you coddle him so, turn your back on him, and he'll turn away.
The Lord said, we shall see, but you can't harm a hair on his head.
So, the Devil went out, and several things happened, his children were killed in a storm, his cattle stolen by thieves, etc....still, Job didn't curse the Lord.
So the next day, the Devil and the Lord met, and again, God said, have you considered my follower Job? He still is without guilt, and still worships me.
The Devil said, ah, then, what about the person? And God allowed him to harm Job, but not kill him....So he was covered with painful Boils, all over his body....even his wife told him, curse God and be done with it....but still, he held to his faith.
Finally, a couple friends came by, 3 if I remember correctly, and tried to figure out what he did wrong....wether in his mind, in conversation, or just what had happened....finally, he started a long speech, how he should have never been born, and should have died before his chance to breath air.
Then, my favorite part of the book, God responds. God, the whole time, had been watching what was going on, says to Job, Listen, and brace yourself, as a man...and I will question you.
Where were you when I made the sea? Or where do I store the Hail? Surely you know. How is it the stars are located at their locations, when I say, appear? Obviously, you know this.
He even mentions catching a Leviathan on a hook, or taming a behemoth, two creatures, that make some scholars believe in Dinosaurs....simply, the descriptions they give, are quite visual.
Finally, after Job is made to see, he is but a man, and the follower of the almighty, God says to his friends, you should ask Job, who is in my presense, to pray for your sins...because you can't.
In doing so, God forgives the friends, and Job's faith, is rewarded, in sons, daughters, lands, and crops....almost 3fold what he had before the disasters occurred.
A lot of people believe Job is a difficult book, showing the evil side of life on earth, but to me, it's pretty simple, that What happens here on earth happens, but God still is in control of us....if we need help, he can....and most importantly, to remember the Devil will try everything to get us to curse God...because then, he can get his hands on our soul.
Stay strong in the faith, of the God you serve, and loves you.

job was a very rich and healthy man had i believe 10 kids and a lovley wife & was a strong believer and follower of christ. Then the devil and god made sort of a bet that the devil could make jod a nonbeliver. So he killed all jobs crops but he still had faith in god. So he killed all 10 of his children and his wife but he still worshiped god. Then the devil gave him leprosey though it pained god to watch this he had to stand aside and let the devil test jobs faith. Jobs friends didn't understand why hhe still hung on and worshiped the lord. If he would just give up the devil would stop. But he didn't he held on to god and still worshiped him. Finally the devil gave up god had won. But don't think job was misstreated, for his crops came back in double, he remaried and had 20 kids with the next wife, and his leprosey was cured. Job really was a believer and had true faith and for that he was rewarded.

Satan came to God and told him that Job did not love him. Job was blessed with a wife, many children, servents, property and cattle. God knew that Job loved him, so he decided to let Satan make a fool of himself. God told Satan to test Job, but gave him a rule that he could not kill him. Satan set out to prove that Job would turn against God. Job's cattle was taken from him, his servants killed, his children killed. He became plauged with leporsey. His wife told him to "curse God and die" Yet Job did not. Each test he passed with flying colors. Job is the perfect example of why bad things happen to good people. It's a broken world. So the good people should do their best to prove Satan wrong. In the end, Job was blessed with twice what he had to start with. His riches were doubled, his children as well. His wife was a woman of God and his land and cattle also doubled.

Job was a man that was so upright that God blessed him. One day Satan came to God, and God said look at my servant Job. Satan then proceeded to tell God that it was because he gave him so much that he followed him and if he took it away he would curse God. God let him take it all away and though even his children were taken from him he still worshiped God proving that it was not what he had that made him love Go. Then even though all these bad things happened to him he was given basically 2 times as much showing that God still cares about you even when you are in tribulation.

I'll give you the answers, non standard.
There was a meeting of God and His angels in heaven. Satan was among them.
God was going to teach Satan a lesson. What was the lesson?
Whatever God says is true.
Job 1:8 And the LORD said to Satan, "Have you considered My servant Job? For there is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, fearing God and turning away from evil."
So Satan said Ya you have a hedge around him, God said go ahead but don't kill him.
So Satan attacked everything he had, family things and everything. Job didn't turn away from God.
Then there came a second meeting of God and His angels and Satan was among them.
God said have you considered my servant Job?
Job 2:3 And the LORD said to Satan, "Have you considered My servant Job? For there is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man fearing God and turning away from evil. And he still holds fast his integrity, although you incited Me against him, to ruin him without cause."
So Satan said, Ya but if you let me get at his body he'll curse you to you face.
So God said go ahead but don't kill him.
So Satan attacked him and made him very sick.
Job still didn't turn against God.
This is the only book where it is written God teaching Satan a lesson. And it came out, God is always right.
