Do you believe in Armageddon? Will it take place in the Middle East? No one knows the day or hour, but what, in your opinion, do current events tell us about the timeframe?

Just like all the book of Revelation, it dealt with the Roman Empire and has no bearing on today's world whatsoever. People buying into that myth and applying it to today's world, are worrying about nothing and are missing out on living.

Every generation thinks an armageddon is going to happen to them. WW2, the Cold War. I mean sure it might happen this time but i don't think it will. Its just the way things work. Its like a cartoon. Evil arises that threatens humanity. People stand up against it and fight it. Its different from a cartoon in that some people do not believe that it is worth the risk because innocents die. But in a world in which an armageddon could happen any day, are there really any innocent people?

Like you said, no human on the Earth knows when "armageddon" will take place. I don't think any of the events going on currently have anything to do with when the world will end and Jesus will return. If you are concerned with this topic of the world ending you should read Revelations in the Bible. It's a little hard to understand but comforting.

According to Wiki, Armageddon refers to a place where Josiah, a much beloved, young and charismatic king, met his doom. WWI was refered to as Armageddon as well.

The Middle East is purported to have been the place where the Garden of Eden was (between the Euphrates and Tigris Rivers), so yeah, I think it will happen there. Everything else has...

The answer to your question as too many variables.
Here are just a few things for you to thinking about and to consider.
Like letting democracy die, The destruction of your environment, Allowing greed to take over from the needs of people. We allow governments to destroy what their can not have. We therefore are responsible for the up and coming of the so called Armageddon.
Look after the need and no the greed's and you would have a better chance of delaying the end.
Stop the governments from destroying democracy.
put a stop to the lies thrust upon man kind by governments and religion.

Many people believe in what the bible says. Some also believe in the writings of Nostradamus. His Prophecies for the end of the millennium, 1992- 2001 have many people believing in them. Though the years may be off, many of his predictions have come true. I believe the end of the world as we know it will come due to actions in the middle east. When people believe it is good to kill others and they will die and go to heaven and receive 72 virgins as a reward, this is serious. They will provoke such military actions that will end in the use of nuclear weaponry. God help us.

Question: "What is the battle of Armageddon?"

Answer: Armageddon, which means “mountain of Megiddo,” is a valley which will be the site of the final battle in the end times. Armageddon has become known as the battle in which God will intervene and destroy the armies of the antichrist (Revelation 16:16; 20:1-3, 7-10). The exact location of the valley of Armageddon is debated. The most likely possibility is the valley between Mount Carmel and the city of Jezreel. The valley of Armageddon was famous for two great victories in Israel’s history: (1) Barak’s victory over the Canaanites (Judges 4:15), and (2) Gideon’s victory over the Midianites (Judges chapter 7). Armageddon was also the site for two great tragedies: (1) the death of Saul and his sons (1 Samuel 31:8), and (2) the death of King Josiah (2 Kings 23:29-30; 2 Chronicles 35:22).

Because of this history, the valley of Armageddon became a symbol of the final conflict between God and the forces of evil. The word “Armageddon” only occurs in Revelation 16:16, “Then they gathered the kings together to the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon.” This speaks of the kings who are loyal to the antichrist gathering together for a final assault on Israel. In the Book of Revelation, at Armageddon "the cup of the wine of the fierceness of God’s wrath" (Revelation 16:19) will be delivered, and the antichrist and his followers will be overthrown and defeated. The word “Armageddon” has become a general term that refers to the end of the world, not exclusively the battle that takes place in the valley of Armageddon.

Question: "Does Bible prophecy predict that there will be a World War 3 (III, three) before the end times?"

Answer: There is no doubt that world war will be a part of the future. Christ plainly taught that there would be war prior to His return. In Matthew 24:4-31, Christ spoke of the future, ending with His return. Some hold that He spoke generally of the Church age in verse 4-14, and spoke of the Tribulation period starting at the mid-point of the Tribulation in verses 15-31. Others believe that Christ spoke of only the 7-year period known as the Tribulation in verses 4-31, of which I tend to agree. Though verses 4-14 do seem to be giving general descriptions, they parallel the description given early in Revelation 6, which records details concerning the beginning of the Tribulation. The description to which I am referring is found in Matthew 24:6-7 which says that there will be "wars and rumors of wars...For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes." Here, Christ makes it very clear that war will play a significant role in the last 7 years prior to His return.

Now to be more specific, the future does hold at least one more World War. The reason that I say "at least one more" is that there is nothing in Scripture that says there would be only a certain number of World Wars. The first two World Wars are not explicitly mentioned in Scripture. It is only the last World War that is mentioned with specific details, which allows the conclusion that there may be others before the final conflict.

John the Apostle was shown what the end-times would be like, specifically the last 7 years prior to Christ's return. Beginning in Revelation 6 John recorded what he saw concerning the future. War is found in this chapter, and continues to be a part of the text until Christ returns in chapter 19 (Revelation 6:2; 4; 11:7; 12:7; 13:4, 7; 16:14; 17:14; 19:11; 19:19).

John recorded the return of Christ in Revelation 19:11-16. Concerning Christ, Revelation 19:11 says, ". . . in righteousness He judges and wages war." Revelation 19:19 says John "saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies, assembled to make war against Him (Christ) who sat upon the horse, and against His army." Take special notice that it says that the kings of the earth and their armies assembled to make war against Christ. This clearly describes a World War. It also should be noted that the victor in this war is clear. Christ seizes the beast/antichrist and the false prophet and casts them into the lake of fire, and the armies that followed them are destroyed (Revelation 19:20-21). So, although there will be at least one more World War, there is no doubt what the outcome will be or who the victor will be--the outcome will be that righteousness prevails as Christ, the King of kings and Lord of lords defeats those who oppose Him.

It also is worth mentioning at this time that following the 1,000-year reign of Christ, there will be another uprising. Satan will be bound for 1,000 years and then released. Upon his release, he causes a rebellion among the peoples of the earth. Christ quickly puts down this rebellion and permanently judges Satan, casting him into the lake of fire as He did with the beast/antichrist and the false prophet (Revelation 20:7-10).
