Thanks, Taivo, for correcting these kids. One should only quote facts when they are factual. We have many Somali refugees here in my home town. Their language doesn't sound like Arabic at all, and they use the Roman alphabet (on the internet at least).

I studied its grammar a bit for a cool linguistics class, but all I remember is that they don't have (or our informant didn't know) a word for "apple".
