If I can't go to sleep what should I do. (besides counting sheep) :-)

First go to your doctor to be certain there is not a medical reason why this is happening. Also, depression can cause this. Sometimes I take Tylenol PM and it really helps. I would not turn to prescription medication unless nothing else works. Also, try not to eat for two to three hours before going to bed. Don't consume anything that has caffeine in it.

There are a number of types of things you could do.
1) Take a hot bath with 2 cups of Epsom salts added and soak for twenty minutes.
2)Drink a strong cup of passionflower, hops, or chamomile tea 30 minutes before bed.These types of teas need to be steeped for at least ten minutes. preferably covered and don't skimp on the amount of herb.
3)Use Valerian root extract, available in health food stores, 2 droppersful before bedtime.
of these 3 choices I would first choose 1...2...3

This may sound strange, but close your eyes and get your self breathing at a steady pace. Now while your eyes are closed, inhale and think of one side of a triangle...as you exhale think of the second side and when you inhale again...close the triangle. You will be sleeping by the time you are done....just make sure your body is relaxed and really think about breathing steady.

Exercise during the day and wear yourself out.. Do housework and ride a bike.. You will sleep like a baby

you ever hheard of such a thing as sominexx or sleping pils here?? cant sllep there hons try ramming in sleping pills they are out there on the market so tell us why cant you sleep there hons having bad hair days?? try sominexx!! or no- dose

apparently a glass of warm milk and turkey has a chemical that helps people sleep. i forgot what its called, i know its starts with a T???

try reading it will tire your eyes, or try watching the same movie in bed every night. forest gump works great. turkey and warm milk is a fable
