change, filters, plugs, and put fresh gas and drive for about 500 km(300 mi), then if it's still fouling then have a mechanic check the oxygen sensor, that's prone to getting plugged up. If you still have problems, go ahead and have a mechanic look at it. Word of advice for ANYBODY TAKING A CAR TO A MECHANIC. Do NOT tell them you think it may be this or that. Don't have them looking for something that you think may be wrong with it. Tell them how it's running, then tell them to call you when they find out what's wrong with it,and decide from there what you want them to do. I have screwed up many times by telling them what I think is wrong with my car. I can't tell what's wrong from what you said, but wish you luck with it, man.

The best advice that I can give you. Get your car to a Nissan dealer. They have the tools to check out you car. From reading your question, as best as I can, you may have done something or a part failed, it's hard to tell. One thing I can say for certain, you should not try to fix the problem. Your going to make it worse instead of better. Good Luck Mark

the fuel injection cleaner probley loosened some soot and it loged in the injectors i have found that every car i put that crap in ran worse and started falling apart like 3 cars now so you might want to take them out and clean them also if it ran better with the cat off it could have hurt the o2 sensor as well as pluged the muffler with crap

It could be that your power steering "V" belt is not worn out, but it may simply be too loose. The correct tension on the belts is to see a 1/2 inch deflection in any belt with a 15 inch span between pullys. With the engine off, you press with your thumb in the middle of the belt between the pullys with a 10 pound push. Look akso, for any freyed, cracked, hardened, or fragmented belts while the engine is idling.

Same happened to me in my 91.
You have too much FI Cleaner in it. You need to fill your tank up full ASAP. It's because your car is burning quite a bit of the cleaner, and not as much gas as it needs.
You need to also buy new spark plugs, they are going to be fouled up. Either clean them or buy new ones.

Could be that the fuel injector cleaner dislodged something in the gas tank that got into the fuel filter and clogged it. Try replacing the filters.
