is a fraud?

Many here have stated that Jesus will return in our lifetimes...some of them even give the date of 2012...

When this date comes and goes like all the others, will you be ready to throw off the yoke of religion? Will you have the integrity and humility to admit you are foolish and gullible morons?

First off i am not christian, i am Pagan.

i have said that the date of 2012, in my belief will be the beginning of the Erath changes as described by the Native Americans.

this is based on the fact that noone has written any prophsies after that date, and the Myan calendar that they wrote over 2000 years into the future stops in 2012. why would they stop it there unless they had some knowlege telling them to do so.

I do not believe that the earth or human life will come to an end.
o do believe that many things will begin to change. we will probaly see more tragity like new orleans.

but it will be the lack of ability in humans to fend for themselves and to work together in any way that will be the true downfall, not the gods. look at how people acted in New Orleans... everyone for themselves, everyone wanting someone else to save them.
fighting and bickering with each other. NO leadership at all.

I will never throw down my religion and never try to discredit any other religion. prophsies are told at one time and told on the basis of how things are at that exact time. if something changes the order of events then the prophsy can be stopped or changed.

noone can tell the exact future. people can speculate. prophsy is niether a way to prove or disprove religion.

The ones that have predicted 2012 probably are cultists and christianity is just an emblem and nothing more.
True Christians understand that Jesus said that no man will know the day nor the hour of His return.
By the way, what have you placed your trust in, yourself? If you had the power to dictate the course of your soul then you'd have the power to wipe off the face of the earth all the Christians that you hate so much.

I'm not sure wehre the date 2012 comes from, but in my Bible it states noone will know the minute or the hour of Christ's return. I don't practice "religion". I just live my life by my own beliefs and allow others to do the same. I don't believe that makes me a foolish or gullible moron.

In 2012..I don't know who would say that. That isn't enough time. We need at least 7 years and that clock won't start ticking until the Anti Christ is revealed.. If you believed who ever said that I guess someone other than the christians on here are foolish and gullible. I won't talk about your intelligence I am not that type of man...Jim

I have heard of no such date. All I know is that if I am still alive (which I hope to be) in 6 more years that I will be on my way home from, or on my way to church, or it will be just another day of the week. I might be gullible, but I'd rather be gullible if that's the case than be foolish for not being a believer. So call me gullible all you want.

The Bible says that no one knows the day or hour when the Son of Man (Jesus) will return. Those who say they do are the foolish ones.

On the other hand, those who have confessed and repented of their sin and accept Christ will be saved from the penalty of their sin.

The Bible also says that those who say there is no God are the true fools. Religion is man made and many fools become absorbed in their religion instead of establishing a saving relationship with Jesus Christ.

I don't know how the 2012 rumor got started, but Jesus clearly states that no one will know when He will be coming, so obviously, those who predict 2012 are just guessing.

Why do you hate Christians so much? I have never treated atheists with such malice and disrespect. I understand that others may not agree with my beliefs, and I enjoy healthy, open debates...but I would not stoop to bash them as harshly as you do.

Besides, if you are really trying to win "converts" to atheism, or to make Christians change their beliefs, you are going about it the wrong way. Insulting people only makes them stronger in their faith.

Mark 13:31-33
Matt 11:29

By the way, I hear 2012 is when scientists have predicted that the magnetic poles of the earth will reverse. Good luck seeking the truth :)

Obviously, you've been reading the predictions of those who would attempt to make others believe there is a set timetable for everything. That's their choice, could be lucky and be right, could be wrong. But it's their choice. You believe in non-belief. Any different? No, same thing, a choice. My choice is the belief in religion, but not timetables. So, I agree there will be the foretold second coming, but I don't know when, or where, it will happen. And I don't think anyone is supposed to know. But that's my choice.
