Do you agree that The Beatles still speak to us here and now? I sure think they do...I admit it..I cried when George passed on. And when John died I was about 11 years old and some kid made a joke about it and I punched him! The principal of my school asked for a moment of silence on the public address system to mark his passing and the little asshole didn't show any respect...so I punched him so hard he fell of the bleachers in gym class...I remember it like it was yesterday!

There are so many phases of my life that are punctuated by the music of the Beatles, can't count em all. One that is not a great story but I remember it clearly in my mind. I was in Vietnam, my unit had been hit hard the night before, we medvac'd some people out, it was raining and someone had a radio on. It was AFVN and they were playing Imagine by John Lennon. It just sort of drifted over all of us, no one talked, not a word was said. I wanted so bad to be out of that place and let my hair grow long. The song ended, it was back to business...

Love is all you ever need..
The Beatles will always be cool.
I feel the world was robbed of something special and unique when John Lennon was murdered..
"Imagine" is a song that speaks to the world..

Put it like this they sang about love not hate, they were the greatest thing in music since John loved Elvis and was so
******* funny . I loved the bealtles then and still do
