Matthew 24:6-8

"And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. "For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. "All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Matthew 24:14

"And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all nations, and then the end will come.

No. But I am continually amazed at those who do, based on absolute nonsense and countless interpretations of the Bible, which has been edited, copied and re-copied (by hand) so many times it doesn't make sense at all anymore, if it ever did.

Some of the myth you believe (assuming that you posted this to make your own point of view known to all) is likely from John Milton's Paradise Lost which is a fictional account of what he thought Hell would look like) but of course you probably believe the Bible was written by God himself.

"The End Is Near" has been a continuing theme for thousands of years and probably will be for thousands more. And if it does end, it will likely be through some catastrophic natural event, like colliding with a meteor or something similar.

As far as famines, pestilence, earthquakes and war, those have been with us forever and will continue to be a part of the inevitable stupidity and waste of human beings. Read about Malthusian theory if you are really interested. It explores reasons we should really worry about "the end" and how crime, disease, war and vice are necessary to control the population.

Nobody knows. And should a catastrophic event end the world, or Christian prophesy is realized, neither you nor I will be able to say "I told you so" because we'll be dead!

There has been a guy on a street corner with a "The end of the world is near!" sign for as long as there has been written language. Each generation feels the signs all point to the end of the world, and that they are going to see it. Personally, I don't know when the end of the world is coming. I don't really care, since I try to live my life as I feel my religion wants me to, and without making others miserable in the process. That's my personal choice, and others are free to make the choice they want. It may come tomorrow, or in another thousand years. It will come, when it comes, not one second sooner or later. Like death, why worry? I just hope people don't get to where they believe so hard it's coming that they cause it to happen just from that. Oh well, whatever comes, will.

Not yet. I believe the next event will be the rapture of the church from the planet...and at this time, the seven year tribulation period will begin, as the antichrist comes upon the world scene. Jesus comes at the end of that time. Then the millennial reign, then the final battle, then a new heaven and a new earth.

But you're right, these times we are seeing surely are the "beginning of sorrows".

As a matter of fact..yes i do believe we are in the last days. If you read revelation, it will tell you everything that will happen before Christ comes to earth to get his people. So far almost everything that revelations says will happen, happened. Some christians just don't seem to comprehend this. I mean dont get me wrong i dont know when this ungodly world will end, no one knows..just God. it could be tomorrow, tonight, a wk, one yr, it can happen at anytime. But my personal opinion, we dont even have 20 years before this world ends.
If you disagree, just go to revelation, and read the events before Christ comes, then look at everything that is happening now in this world, plagues, earthquakes, war, diseases, all that has and is happening. I believe the anti-christ is being born or is already in child-teen stage. I say we ARE in the end of the world, so my advice is you better get right, stay true to God, or you WILL GET LEFT

OMG, yes! That is my favorite part of the Bible, because all these horrible things that we did to the Earth, it has consequences, and in the Genisis there are SO many match-ups, with the generation of today. Like there's this one saying, I don't know where in the Bible but it quotes, "the generation of one's knowledge, or expansion" will be the end. And that would be our with computers, Ipods, planes, etc. There's also many shows about this subject on History Channel.

World Without End! Amen

see below;
Q -- When will the end of the world come? People have been preaching about
it just about all of my life.
A -- One word answer - "never" . The world as we know it will be changed but
will never be gone or annihilated. Just more false teaching and probably scare
tactic.
