You'll need to get the solvent and let it soak in to soften it, then wash your hair to remove it. Most of the glues will soften with regular nail polish remover, but be careful about using too much because it's not gentle on the hair. Usually you can also use a good spirit gum (wig glue) remover, and that's available all sorts of places, but especially where theatrical makeup is sold.

Oh man, that's rough, been there done that!
Ok what i did....... first do you have the remover? if so let it sit for like an hour, the bottles say just dab a bit on.... that's BS... soak it! then GENTLY comb as much as you can. It will not get it all out..... then shampoo it like 3 times.... then use a good thick conditioner leave it on, and comb and comb and comb, get as much out as you can.
Then blow dry, even if there is some still in there. if that didn't take care of it, get out the olive oil, drench the remaining glue, cover your hair with a plastic cap or bag, and blow dry to heat it up..... let it set, and then repeat the combing, then washing, then conditioning.
It is a vicious cycle, and my scalp hurt like the devil the next day..... you may want to reschedule your apt if it does!
this is the only way I could get the damn glue out of my hair.
I used both kinds of glue, the clear/white stuff, and the black tar/rubber stuff.
It works on both. If you don't have the remover.... skip straight to the olive oil.... oh and as a perk.... the olive oil is REALLY good for your hair, super conditioning to your hair and scalp.
hope I have helped! Good luck Hon.

All I can say is GOOD LUCK.
I had the same problem when I took out my extensions.
First I wet my hair then put ALOT of baby oil in it where the glue is. It makes the glue kind of sticky. Some of it i picked out with my fingers and then I used a fine toothed comb to get out the rest.
Good Luck!

You can go to a beauty supply store and get the hair glue remover. Its in a white bottle.. Also baby oil works but you have to let it sit and then work it out of your hair.. Get a rat tail comb and it will come out.. Next time get your extensions sewn in.. Its alot less of a hassle.

Ouch. Well how did you get it there in the first place?
I'd say take a shower and use a comb to try to get most of it out.
It might hurt, but it should work.
You could use conditoner first so that your hair is easier to get through with a comb.
Try to start with a wide toothed comb then move to a smaller spaced one.
Then afterwards, have a friend snip the remaining pieces out with scissors. (if any)

Glued extensions are terrible for your hair. If your hair is already in bad condition then you will damage your hair even more. As long as the braids are not too tight, the the sewn in extensions can actually give your hair a rest and allow it to grow. As far as color touch ups- I guess it would depend on how your stylist puts them in. Get with your stylist for a consultation. For most sewn in styles touch ups should not be a problem.

You can get "Bonding glue remover oil" that works well. After you use this use the shampoo that goes with it. You can buy it at Sally's
