To those who may believe we are just this physical body and nothing more. <everybody comment>?

Question

Some people may believe we are nothing more than this physical or biologocal body.Well I want them and others to read this completely and share their views.
Normal people(wether religious or not,believer in god or not) become happy after they do a good act, even if their action can't be justified by materialistic laws , for example sacrifising one's self for another person, or to give your kidney to someone else for free.
And they will get sad in their hearts when they do something evil , even if they make a good money(that their actions are justifyable by materialistic laws) ofcourse I am talking about 'normal' people whose heart hasn't changed dramatically.
So if we read between the lines it proves there is something more than this physical world it proves reward and consequence for our actions. >>
this is a feeling so deep in our heart(deeper than one can say because they were taught it in the school when they were child), it is deep there.
Just like we love and want the beauty , we love good acts( even if they dont make sense with materialistic laws).
you know, when something is in our heart there is a response outside, if there is the hunger inside ,there is food outside. if there is the need of love inside ,there is marriage and love outside.For every natural need or tendency or feeling that we have inside our hearts ,there is a response a satisfaction outside. the response to this feeling is that there is more than
this world, there is reward and consequenses.
Things make sense.
If we admire sombody when he get killed, trying to rescue somebody else which doesnt make sense by the physical laws,it means our hearts knows that there is more than this physical world.even if some people has become unbelievers and consciously deny it while their hearts unconsciously act in according to spritual laws.
and yes when god created us he put this in our heart.
Note that I dont say non-belivers dont do good acts,some of them do,beacause the truth is in their hearts but they consciously deny it.and sometimes they act in according to spritual laws without paying attention to it.

morality is absuolute.
theft is always bad, and liying , and killing inocent people are always bad and in all the societies they are bad.
and giving charity is always good.
and bird`s singing is always beautifull in the ear of normal people.

I will try to say as much as I can but you can get more complete and presice information about Islam from good and valid islamic sources.any misconception that you had can be answered by islamic scholars and teachers.

One of the meanings of islam is peace and The main literal meaning of the word Islam is submission to God's will ,the One God, who is the creator of all beings, who created this world and the hereafter , who is the best in every way, the most powerfull , most merciful, most just, all knowing and ...... ..
and this great God is also so closed to us , In the holy quran it is mentioned that God is closer to us than our neck's vein ..he is closer to us than ourselves
the One God who has no son or daughter or a partner , in fact he is greater than a being who has a son or a partner. he is eternal. and he wants us to only worship him(without any partners) Only he deserves to be worshiped. (when I say "he" i dont mean he is male,
it is just a language thing, he is beyond being male or female, being male or female means you need the opposite sex,means you are not complete and perfect, while he is complete and perfect on his own).

There is a very beautiful relationship between a true muslim's heart and one God who created us , helps us .. ..
we Only worship God, we dont worship things or people that he has created( even if they are great prophets ) ,that we can see ,hear, smell, imagine ,.....
So the main message of islam is that there is Only One God(who deserves to be worshiped) and others that say there are more than one ,they have lost the way ,
prophet Mohammad(pbuh) is the last true messenger of God , and the main messege that he gave to mankind was that there is ,Only one God, (do not associate others with him as god), and to submit to his will and follow his rules.

you know, prophet mohammad's message was the same as other prophets' messages
( like Jesus , moses , abraham and ..... .)and it was to"worship Only God and submit to his will" but people changed the original messages of those prophets in th ecourse of history
and that was why God sent new messengers, untill he sent his LAST messenger
and God revealed the Holy Quran to him, he propmised that he will protect the holy Quran
from being changed.and if we look today, there are so many copies of the quran in the world , old and new, they are all exactly the same not even a word is different.
Quran is the literal word of God.
and now, it makes sense that Islam is the true Last religion, because the original message
is there in he Holy Quran, and God will protect the Holy quran from being changed.

there are also lots of miracles discovered in the Quran, like mathematical miracles,
sientific miracle and ..... . of course the spritual and moral contents of the Holy quran is more important but these miracles are things that people discovered in the quran(some of them were proven recently with the recent technology, while God revealed the Quran 1400 years ago to prophet mohammad in arabia) . they are some signs for those who think.
The best way to undrestand Islam is by reading the quran,it self. the unchanged word of God.
Note that, some verses of the quran revealed to propphet mohammad when the enemies of muslims, had invaded them, and God revealed those verses and allowed the muslims to fight with them and defend themselves,and those verses were about specific wars and defending of themselves against the invasion of the enemies , but today some people use those verses in neagtive propaganda against islam and they say islam is about war and.....

Dont listen to their propaganda they Lie easily. Islam is the religion of peace and tolerance
toward others and Love.
and in the Islamic societies muslims and christians and the jewish used to live together
in peace and respect, and even in one incident in the begining of Islam a jewish old woman
complains from the Leader of the muslims society to a Islamic court, and the court do its job with complete justice and they both attended in the court , regardless of the fact that she complained from the leader of the society. so it shows that, not only the true muslims are tolorent to other groups but they deal with them with respect and never abuse thier rights.

other rules and of islam include giving charity to the needy, be just upon everybody,dont lie,
dont follow your desires instead of God's will, pray 5 times a day( this one is so beautifull),
fast in the month of ramazan, dont have sex out of marriage,dont drink alcholol, and ... .. .. .. . . .
and we are also responsible for our acts , and doing good acts towards other people is a part of the God's will that we should submit to (a part of god's commands that we obey).
And if we submit to his will sincerely, and repent from our sins, he is all knowing and he knows what are in the hearts of people and who is sincere,He will forgive our sins and erors and we will get to heaven after we die, he is the most merciful.
But he will not forgive those sins which in them we abuse a right from other people(it's called the people's right)
if we take away a right from somebody , we should ask for forgiveness from that person
and try to make it up for him/her.or we will face the consequenses.

look I really cant say enough of islam the best way to know it better is by readin the holy quarn and ask your questions from good muslim scholars and use good and valid islamic websites,
I dont know many websites for becoming familiar with Islam, because I was born in a muslim family ,thanks God. But there are alot of them on the internet, and there are
some websits that the nenemies of islam have made. they want to spread their lies and
the negative propaganda, they want to stop people from going to the way of truth.
but they cant.

So get good and valid websites and books about islam,( as I said the best way is reading Quarn itself)

I agree with the idea that there is more to us and the world than us and the world. however, it is up to us and our creative brains to see God in ourselves and the world. I would also offer this interesting aside->

Genetically speaking, altruism has been identified as an attractive quality to prospective mates. altruism represents a defender of the species and an assurance that a mate and young will be cared for and not abandoned for personal reasons. Think like an animal, if he/she is careless with others, won't he/she be careless with me or my young? Its interesting to wonder how DNA managed to teach us how to live in peace, no? Perhaps God and evolution are not all so different?

it could be argued that we have evolved as a species to have pleasure centers in the brain stimulated when we perform an altruistic act. It could be argued this would help the species overall survive.

It could be that our super egos, which retain all the scolding messages and encouraging messages about how our moms expected us to be, reward us when we live up to our own standards and do good.

I must say I have known people and known of people who take pleasure in being evil because they beileve it is weak and foolish to do good. You might say America is currently being run by such people.

It does not logically follow from your argument that there is a non-material world. You are merely describing humans, nothing more. I think that if there is a plane of existance which involves a creator of spirit who seeds a material world with said spirit, we humans are far from capable of understanding or even imagining this reality. The Tao Te Ching says - the god that can be told is not the true god. I think that must be true.

Your argument makes no sense. It is like saying that if a good man joins the Army and goes to war, then realizes that for some reason he feels really good after he kills someone, it is because there is a supernatural force driving him to kill people. All those feelings you get "deep in your heart" are conditioned responses. If you saw a black man getting beaten in the street by three white men, your heart would be filled with righteous anger (I hope). However, if someone saw the same thing 150 years ago, he would assume that the black guy deserved it. Morality is not an absolute.

I believe that in each lifetime, our souls are in our physical bodies, just using them as we use a car. We are here in each lifetime to learn, and make ourselves a better person. There are certain people that are just evil, and never enjoy heaven when they die, they just come straight back to earth again, or can be a ghost that just cannot go to the light or heaven, and remains stuck here sometimes for all eternity. When we die and are able to go into the light, we see those loved ones waiting for us, even our pets that we have loved here on earth are there waiting for our return!

You are correct my Muslim friend. In the Bible God says "Be still and know that I am God." I love that. It tells me that if I want to know God, all the evidence I will ever need is already within me, because God made all of us. If I can just stop all the noise and arguing and be still I will KNOW.
