I work at a day care, and often help parents potty train their little ones. "Pull Ups" feel just like a diaper to a child, and they know that they can pee in them. We try to get the children on a schedule at the daycare if they have on panties or underwear. The first couple of days we take them every 30 mins and then still take them when every one else goes...after lunch and snack. At nap time we put on a pull up or a diaper just in case they have an accident while they are sleeping. The kids usually get tired of going to the bathroom every 30 mins and start going on their own. Most kids don't like to wear wet clothes too! I hope this helps you.

You are correct in not wanting to use Pull-Ups. They do cost a lot of money and act just like diapers.
I would use padded underwear. If she does go pee in them they will hold more then regular underwear and she can still feel how wet she is.
Are you using an award system? Give her a sticker or lollipop when she goes potty.
Make sure when she is playing or watching TV you ask her consistently if she needs to go potty. First thing in the morning and a little bit after drinking something are the best times to take her to the potty. If she wakes up dry after naps I would put her on the potty as well.

I would suggest going and getting some undies that have her favorite charcter on them. Tell her that if she gets them wet then she wont be able to wear them anymore. I have seen many parents try this and the girls dont want to get there undies wet then.
I wouldnt use the diapers at nap time, put a pair of the plastic pants on over the panties.

switch to pull ups for a while stop using diapers once you run out. my son got smart and would hold his pee til i put the naptime or bed time diaper on, use pull ups and take her often and let her sit there for up to ten minutes each time. sit outside the door if need be. there will be accidents alot of them. after a while of staying dry most of the day start using the big girl panties. good luck . i am now at the undies stage with my son

Just use the padded training pants, they are cheaper in the long run, absorb more than regular underwear and are reusable.
You just have to constantly ask and/or take her to the potty, kids get to playing or watching tv and forget and since they are so used to wetting themselves they don't even realize they are doing it.
You have to be the dilligent one and keep after her. Try to time it right, once you figure out when she wets then let that be the time you always take her or remind her so she starts to relate the two together.
Good luck.

Okay this was @ least 23 yrs ago without the use of pullups. Keep doing what your doing, only talk to her like she is a bigger child now. about the diapers she is not training fully if you still use diapers. put her on the potty @ least 2 hrs after eating & 45 minutes after drinking.

Use diapers for bedtime. Otherwise, use regular underwear and make sure she goes to the "potty" frequently.

I know this sounds crazy, but I let my daughters run around naked. For some reason, they did not like pee running down their legs. After a few accidents, they started going to the potty.
