If you love someone, and they did something really huge for you, how do you show appreciation for that event. Also, how do you show appreciation in general? How do you show someone that you really truly appreciate them?

If i love someone, i would probably say it out in words that i appreciate what he/she did to me...and then plan something special for him/her that i knew they like but have not done or got yet...
And i would always stay by his/her side and treat him/her well...and hope that one day i will be able to do something "huge" for him/her too (although i know in my heart nothing can be huge enough for him/her)
In general, i show appreciation by saying so and by telling people that they will have me by their side forever....

give them or do something that they will for sure like or something they wanted to get ...
dont make it all about sex.. do something else.. even if there is no sex and it's meaningful it's gonna be great..like a spa etc
make sure u tell them that u did this to show them ur appreciation and how much ijt meant to u...

Tell them so....People appreciate being told that they are appreciated.
Be there for them when they need you. A friend in need is a friend indeed.
