I've witnessed this during my commutes more than once.

Wow I got a thumbs down for asking about something I observed. Interesting people out there!

Man some people really DO miss the forest for the trees -- how did I see a tailgater? Do I really need to draw you diagrams? First of all read the part where I said this happened on multiple occasions. Secondly, consider the person could be tailgating me or someone else. Thirdly, consider if they are tailgating me, they can easily go around. DUH with a capital D! Jesus H. Christ!

Start thinking for a change and maybe you won't miss the whole point of everything.

Someone just sent me a joke about that, a police man pulls over and arrests this woman who was cussing and flipping off another driver, basically having some serious road rage issues, she asked why she was arrested when her license and registration were found to be valid. The officer said, well I saw the Jesus loves you sticker and the fish on the back of your car and naturally I assumed you stole the car! LOL!!
Honestly though, I am not a Christian because I am perfect, no Christian is perfect, we are all subject to anger, pride, etcand we all have our bad days. None of us should be acting holier than though- BUT that is no excuse- If we are having the bumper sticker and wearing the clothes etc. we should at least be making a better effort to have some self control and set a better example.
If your gonna wear the loot, you'd better be showing the fruit!!

Really though, maybe he borrowed the car, just bought it, etc- don't just assume that the guy in there was a Christian - and even if he was , afford him the same courtesy you would want to be afforded- you don't know what is going on in his life or where he is in his walk, don't judge unless you have never had a bad day on the road- show the same patience and common courtesy you would want to be shown- don't mock and point the finger JUST because of something that might be claiming the Christian faith-

I mean I have seen people with Darwin stickers and stickers proclaiming athiesm and the like behaving pretty much the same way on the road- what should I think of that??

There are two distinct possibilities.

Satan has found a way to stir up a lukewarm (read that as unconverted) Christian to serve as a perfectly bad example of how a Christian should behave.

OR, every so often an atheist puts stickers like that on a vehicle and drives crazy to give Christians a bad name.

Now you can take your pick but I gotta tell you the phony Christian who pretends to be one but doesn't let God make any changes in his selfish behavior is far worse than the atheist.

Christians have a clear guideline as to how they should conduct themselves and the example above is a very bad one. Christians like that do more harm than good.

If I saw that I would be willing to follow that vehicle and hope for a chance to tell him he doesn't deserve to display those stickers.

I personally hate being tailgated and will slow to a crawl to get them off my bumper.

A friend of mine who I will no longer ride with will slam on the brakes if tailgated. He's another lukewarm, misguided, unconverted Christian.

YOU CHRISTIANS OUT THERE, IF YOU CAN'T BE AS KIND AS JESUS TAUGHT YOU PLEASE DON'T TELL ANYBODY YOUR A CHRISTIAN. JUST LET IT BE YOUR OWN LITTLE SECRET.

it's sad but even christians forget what Lord Jesus Christ spoke of in the bible. In Mat.chapter 5 vs 22, says, "But i tell you that anyone that is angry with his brother, will be subject to judgment. It doesnt matter if you're at home, school, work, church, or even on the road this statement tells us that we should love our enemys that Jesus spoke about in scriptures. My advice is , these people with these stickers, and act in an unchristian way. They need to read the bible more and understand what these stickers represent. They are telling us that we can be christains and still behave like infedels. I know this for a fact, God will not approve of this, and when judgment day comes they will be judged for their actions. I hope this helps. turkeytb55@yahoo.com

He has some real issues he needs to deal with, but, not in his car. I'll go one further and say I bet his wife bought the Jesus fish and the bumper sticker.

This person is not a real Christian.
He is a religionist.
He goes to church and reads the Bible but is not the real thing.
He is not baptized. He really only goes along for the religious ride.
He will be one of those still in the churches after the rapture occurs.
Oh! did that offend any of you church goers?
I meant to.

Christians are merely people who are saved by GRACE and they are still in their earthly bodies and they have the same emotions and have good days and bad days just like everyone else....they are saved from sin....that doesn't mean they will never sin again just that they are saved from their sin...and they are learning to live a life with Jesus.....but just as Rome wasn't built in a day a Christian wasn't either.....so yes Christians make mistakes and do sinful things at times just like all the rest of you.....the only difference is we confess our sin and our forgiven of our sin and we move forward in our quest to be more like Jesus.......now I pray we can all move past this and realize we all live in the same world...

you do not realize that those adult men who do trust in Jesus with all their hearts as I do are kept from lack of existence and are promised eternal existence. shop in concepts Jesus' personal words 'lady, whoever drinks the water from that properly will be thirsty back, those who drink the water I shall supply shall by no ability thirst back.' faith ought to not be a shame to all and sundry in any respect.

Well, what I've realized through the years is that Christians are just regular people too. No better no worse. They might get holier than though sometimes, or thump the bible, but they're just like everyone else. Some bad, some good.

Maybe the person bought the car with those stickers on there already, and they don't know how to take them off.

Stickers don't make someone a Christian.

i think it it an all too familiar sight. that , and the soccer moms, with the SUVs or mini vans, with the Christian radio stickers in the back window, with the finger pointing up to the sky, as they weave through traffic flipping people off!
