and the bible has been rewritten a thousand different times. over a couple thousand years the bible has been written and written again. do you not believe that all of the facts that once made up the bible have been twisted and contorted so many times that it is no longer credible. so why are there so many people who want to see others go to hell?

You learn what your parents teach you and then you make your own choice when you get to a certain point in your life.

For example, Some are taught to be Christians and they'll continue to be Christians unless they want to take another path.

My parents are Christians and have always told me as a child that I was Christian. I never understood what a Christian was so I never questioned it until I reached my teens. Now, I'm agnostic. I don't know what religion is right and wrong so I'm just open-minded about the topic.

I think if the 'big guy' does exist, he's way beyond our understanding. Too many people try to bring him/her/it down to their level and act petty ("You're going to Hell because he says so!")... I just don't think it could be that simple.

I do not believe that the basic message of the Bible has been changed significantly since it's origin... don't you think that God would guide anyone's re-writing of the Bible ... and if they tried to change it on purpose... don't you think he would take care of them himself?

I agree. The Catholic church deleted a lot of writings and added their own. Yuck, yuck, yuck.
