It is unlikely to be a blood clot (but anything is possible).

However, if it is troubling you (which it seems to be) you might wish to see your doctor and at least discuss better pain relief.

Your doctor would be better able to tell if it is a blood clot, or organize an ultrasound if there is any suspicion.

Call your doctor or go to the ER immediately. It doesn't sound like a blood clot, but it is definitely better to be safe than sorry. If you don't want to go to the ER right away, try taking either the prescription for pain (if they gave you one) or some OTC ibuprofen. If that doesn't relieve the pain in an hour, get to the ER immediately.

Do you have a family history of blood clots? Blood clots often cause numbness below the clot as well, do you have that?

If you think it may be a bllod clot get to the ER. If it is then you can't let it go past your knee. Once it does you're in real trouble. GET GOING.
