The only thing that I know about that happens to you when you drink a lot a water is that you urinate alot. Drinking water only makes you less hungry for a short period of time.

When food gets into your stomach, it stays there for awhile until your body fully digests it and goes in your bloodstream. If you fill your stomach up with food, you'd feel bloated and will stay there for a period amount of time. Water works the same way. Fill your whole stomach with it and you'll feel bloated just the same. And since water has no calories, you don't gain weight by taking only water. But because it's purely liquid, your body will digest it more easily. Any excess water your body does not need goes straight to the kidneys, which will be released by urination later.

Don't drink WAAAAAY more then 8 glasses a day because it messes with your salt/sodium balance. So if you drink a LOT of water and you eat salty things then you'll swell up.
And sometimes thirst can be mistaken for hunger so I guess it could make you less hungry.

well...if you drink a lot of water (let's say...one littler...ore more) in a very short time (less then 5 minutes...you drink without stopping)...something very interesting will happen...You have a huge risk of getting dehydrated.
Why you ask? it is simple. Your boddy gets used to have a lot of water...so it will need more water.

It basically flushes out toxins and excess nutrients (ie. water). If you drink way too much it can lead to water intoxication.
