I think I am just borderline. I am obsessive over smells, especially air conditioners. I also have a routine for showering that must be followed exactly right or I feel unclean. I am a constant worrier, so I obsess about death and car accidents. Maybe I am just weird, and don't have OCD at all. Am I a freak?

I have OCD amongst many other disorders. For instance, if a book is laying a certain way, and I get it in my head that I have to lay it a different way, then there is no stopping me until I get that book the way my head is telling me to do it. That is the weirdest disorder. I am on medication, and still do it sometimes. It is kind of like when your eyes get stuck on something and you can't take them off for a few seconds? Or is that part of the disorder too....I don't know b/c I have always been like that. Good luck b/c having mental disorders are horrible.

I am better now, but I used to have to unplug everything in my place before I left it because I was scared it would start a fire while I was out. Sometimes I would start on my way to somewhere and have to go back to my place 2 or 3 times to make sure my curling iron was off or the stove was off or my kettle was unplugged. I don't do it as much now it seems when I am stressed out about something I start to di it again.

Oh lets see, where do i start.....1) when i am about to leave the house, and getting my stuff together, i feel the need to see if i left the stove on, even if i haven't cooked anything, i do this 3 times before leaving. 2) If i start to read a book, or watch a movie, i HAVE to start with the first one not a sequel , otherwise it's a waste of time. Many others, no time, gotta go sorry......

I pull my hair out . One hair at a time. I have done this for 6 hours steady &suffer eye & back aches as a result. There are certain hairs that don't meet my standards & they have to go. I have bald spots as a result. My search for perfection means self destruction.

My son does. He bites his fingernails but has to do it a certain number of times before he quits. He also calls people repeatedly if they don't answer.
