I normally take bottled water and a spritz body spray on long flights, of course this is out of the question at present, so I expect we shall be buying bottled water once on board, but I wonder if we can carry Wet Wipes to freshen up with??? Any one out there flown to the States recently and knows???

I don't know about wet wipes, TSA is banning facial cleansers at the moment. Here's the link of current prohibited items...

Hey if Nivea hand cream gets a flight diverted I would just take a small pack in case they reject it at the security controls!

If it's that important, take them anyway and if they aren't allowed they'll just take them away, no harm done. Or you could just bring a cloth and freshen up in the airplane lavatory.

well as you are (i assume!) female just say they are for 'down there' because it's that time of the month. Otherwise you may just have to use the water in the toilets

You are not even allowed toothpaste. I'm off to Australia tomorrow - and I am not even taking chewing gum.
