No. It is not normal for a female dog to hump. It is not normal for a 13 week old dog to hump.

But if this behavior continues, you can fix it if you remember an age old joke:

What's the difference between a pit bull humping your leg, and a yorkie humping your leg?

A: You let the pit bull finish.

Yes! My 2 year old female chihuahua not only humps people but her stuffed animals too! Its all part of having a dog!

It's normal in that it's a sign of dominance, but what nobody else has said yet is you need to correct it! Push her down and very firmly tell her "no" whenever she does this. If she won't stop, put her in another room or her crate. If she is allowed to continue, she will perceive that she is the one in control in the household, and that is not healthy. It will lead to a ton of behavior problems in the future.

yes it's normal........their humping at 5 weeks old....i breed yorkies and have 6 of them......none of them hump anything except each other.

She is trying to say she in the dominant one in the household sounds as if puppy classes are in order if you are already taking them ask the trainer what you can do to reassert yourself as the dominant one in the house.

Yes. A lot of the time it's dominance related. Dogs will also do it sometimes if they are nervous.
